Kamúy offers a warm, inviting atmosphere that highlights Haitian and Creole flavors, with standout items like griot, accras, poulet frit, jerk chicken, conch and djon djon rice, plus comforting sides and pain patate for dessert. Cocktails such as Corossol Colada are praised, and portions are generous, often suitable for sharing. Service is friendly and attentive, with staff who explain dishes and make recommendations, even though a few visits note occasional delays or price considerations. The space, music and decor create a lively yet cozy setting, ideal for a date, friends or a pre show in the theater district. Overall the reviews point to tasty, flavorful food, warm hospitality and a memorable dining experience at Kamúy.
Très bonne nourriture & service. La musique était toutefois un peu forte ( difficultés à communiquer avec les serveurs & à avoir une discussion entre nous.) & les prix restent assez élevés.
Extremely noisy, so noisy that we didn't want to stay for dessert. The cod fritters were terrible. The vegetarian curry was mediocre. Would not go back,

Great experience & service. To start we had the griot & smoked cod chicktail & both were phenomenal. For mains, we had the jambalaya & the jerk chicken. The jambalaya was unfortunately a disappointment: the rice & the seafood were overcooked & the dish was much, much too salty. The chicken was good, but we found it a little lackluster compared with the bold flavours of the starters. Still, an overall good meal & lovely evening.
Whole thing was about average. Service was overall fine but food was lukewarm. Seating was beside bar with coffee grinder right behind our heads so quite unpleasant. It was busy & music fairly loud so very hard to talk. Chairs are not that comfortable inside. I had the option to sit on bench with cushions & regret not taking it. Of course as with everything these days food seems overpriced. For the Griot dish the pork was overcooked so bit dry & tough but flavour was good. Very spare on the accompanying veggies - "sauerkraut" side was so acidic it made me choke (& I love sauerkraut) & only a few thin slices of sauteed onions & peppers. It seemed a little chintzy. The fired plaintain were tasty but again cold so texture bit rubbery. The Gratin Lambi wasn't hot enough so cream was starting to congeal & there was some fish in there besides lambi which felt like "Filler". We were there early around 5:30 PM so not sure why everything was cold. The grilled fish as main dish was better than the tapas but super thin filet (whole fish not half thankfully) but sauce was very tasty but again lukewarm. The best part of all these dishes was the malanga puree accompanying the fish. Still lukewarm but it was great flavour & texture & went surprisingly well with fish. I may go there again just because of convenient location if you are catching show at Maison Symphonique. Too bad I was looking forward to finding a great Carribbean place & tasting the food of the much praised chef Toussaint.

Nous avons adoré, la nourriture était délicieuse! Particulièment les entrées. Les meilleures bananes plantain que j'ai jamais mangées, cuites à la perfection, encore tendres...Nous reviendrons! Service hors pair du proprio également.
JP was a fantastic server. His recommendations were all excellent. We visited Agrikole in 2017 & were happy to see a new place for this wonderful food & cocktail experience.
We arrived at 9:30. The DJ was great, but we wanted a slow dinner with lots of conversation following the OSM's Virée Classique. The music was way too loud for conversation. So we still love Kamuy, but won't come for a late night dinner again. Maybe drinks, instead.
