Restaurant Jano de Plateau Mont-Royal est comme un havre chaleureux offrant à bon prix de délicieuses grillades portugaises. Le Porto Branco fait un excellent apéritif. Au menu: caldo verde (une soupe aux choux traditionnelle), viandes et de poissons : truite, sardines, côtes de boeuf, poulet, porc, lapin et cailles. Tous sont grillés et marinés à perfection, et servis avec frites. Les indécis apprécieront certainement la grilhada mista (une assiette comprenant un peu de tout).

Warmly decorated portuguese restaurant. It didn't look very busy on Friday night, service was quick. We got garlic shrimp appetizer & it was good, the grilled calamari didn't taste much, the rib steak although big was however bland & tasted like not marinated at all. Maybe that's how portuguese steak is supposed to be but we didn't like it at all, even with the spicy sauce. Overall it seems a bit overpriced.Voir plus

Grosse baisse de qualité doublée d'une augmentation des prix. Nous commandions régulièrement le menu familial à emporter. Nous en étions satisfait. Lors de notre dernier passage on a remarqué une grosse baisse de qualité. La salade n'était pas fraîche. La poulet était bon mais beaucoup plus sec qu'à la normale. Il semblait avoir attendu un peu trop sur le feu. Nous avons mangé les pires frites possible. Les frites étaient rassis. Elle étaient tout simplement inmangeable.Voir plus

Excellent food in an unassuming location that, like a Tardis, is bigger on the inside than it appears. Authentic Portuguese beers complement the roasted meats. Large, fluffy buns arrive at your table as soon as you are seated. Atmosphere is simple & friendly. Prices are surprisingly good compared to other neighboring restaurants. Excellent choice if you enjoy traditional Portuguese food. Only disappointment was the fries: not bad, but traditional Portuguese roasted potatoes would have been nicer than fries you'd find pretty much anywhere else. Hot sauce had a very nice kick & helped improve the fries somewhat.Voir plus
