Been coming here as a kd. It has started to pick up again!! The food has improved significantly & well I'd always support them regardless - as this place holds a special place in my heart. The owners are kind people. The waiters & reception (usually one of the owners) are always so kind to our children & our kids know them since they were babies so they've seen me & now my kids growing up. Can't beat a no frills buffet!
We walked into this buffet thinking how great it would be & instead we were greated with a receptionist that ignored us for a full minute watching Chinese drama. We walked in just to see that all the food was dry & unappealing. The taste - even worse then expected. Hands down the worse experience/atmosphere/Chinese food we've tried. 0/5
Before the pandemic, this place was very good. I really enjoyed going to the Jade Buffet. I still go there once in a while. Not all the dishes are good, but some of them are still OK.
Pour le prix, on ne peut pas se plaindre. Certes, la nourriture n'est pas exceptionnelle, mais ça reste un buffet. L'endroit est calme, ce qui permet de discuter facilement. Je recommande.

Good food, 25 tax in for buffet all you can eat. The Pork Ribs (very large) were the best I had in the long time. Shrimp Fried Rice is also a staple. Very delicious!
I love the spring rolls & shrimp . No tip is required & the buffet is 21$ with tax taking it to 25$. The dishes are tasty & the variety is Ok for the price.

Je tiens à vous faire part de mon expérience concernant le buffet, laquelle a été très décevante.
Dès mon arrivée, l'ensemble du buffet était peu attrayant. La qualité des aliments laissait fortement à désirer : plusieurs plats manquaient de fraîcheur & le goût était clairement absent, donnant l'impression que les aliments étaient anciens ou mal conservés. Cette situation a rendu l'expérience désagréable du début à la fin.
Il s'agit malheureusement d'une expérience qui ne donne pas envie de revenir & que je ne peux recommander à mon entourage. Pour un établissement offrant ce type de service, le manque de qualité est préoccupant & affecte directement la réputation du lieu.
Ce message se veut respectueux, mais honnête & direct. J'estime important de vous faire part de cette réalité afin que des améliorations sérieuses soient envisagées.
Très déçue de mon expérience au Buffet Chinois Restaurant Jade (67, boul. de la Gauchetière Ouest).
Malgré un prix qui peut sembler intéressant, la qualité de la nourriture est vraiment mauvaise. Les plats étaient peu appétissants & au goût désagréable.
Le rapport qualité-prix n'est malheureusement pas au rendez-vous. Je ne recommande pas.
While the waiters & waitresses were nice & the service was good, I must say that the atmosphere was depressing & the food was quite bad! I have eaten at 25$ buffets before & they were much better than this one.
Ceux qui critique ont probablement jamais voyager & ont des standards ultra élever ! Pour mon opinions la plus honnête , quand je vais dans un buffet en 2025 à 25$ taxe,pourboire inclus je m'attend à un buffet à 25$ ! Côté nourriture , y'a asser de plat & de choix au moins 30-35 plats! Pas tous super goûteux , la qualité est asser basse mais ça fait en masse la job pour se remplire! Y'a quand même des plats délicieux , ça fait peu être 6 fois que j'y vais en 10 ans & je sait à quoi m'attendre à chaque fois que j'y entre ! Ce n'est pas du luxe mais ce n'est pas non plus le pire restaurant jamais vue comme plusieurs le disent ! Si tu veux aller au buffet des continents à 50$/personne va s'y , la pour 25$ ça fait la job ! Pour ce qui est de la propreté du restaurant , je ne suis pas tetteux mais effectivement il faut savoir fermer les yeux un peu ! Jsuis toujours en vie , je suis sortie plein & je suis pas pauvre alors je suis comblée ! Seul détails , au fil des années , beaucoup de plats ont disparut (moule,plusieurs dessert ,cuisse de grenouilles ) probablement a cause de l'inflation ! Si tu n'est pas difficile tu va apprécier , si t'es standards sont les standards d'un étudiant en médecine qui vie sur le plateau y'a des chance que tu écrive un review 1* par suite !
This place gets a lot of bad reviews, but I enjoy going there. $25 for an all you can eat buffet, which includes taxes & a tip, is an excellent value. There are a lot of dishes that I've never bothered to try (I'm a picky eater), but you can easily fill yourself up on just a few dishes that you really like. The won ton soup & egg rolls are very good. I was quite satisfied & quite full the last time I went, which was last week.
As of 2025, you pay $25 which is about 30-40% lower than comparable alternatives. It follows accordingly that the food quality is mediocre - the deep fried options are overcooked to death, some of the meat dishes are extremely tough & chewy, & there are very few cold/dessert options or drinks available. On the other hand, some of the steamed & stir-fried dishes were surprisingly good.
The main targets in the'buffet meta' are the deep-fried shrimp & the ribs, but the price is cheap enough that you can enjoy a decent variety of food without feeling the need to minmax.
Honestly so worth it! Really good Cantonese buffet. Not like Americanized Chinese, had some really authentic options. Still really cheap but such good options, like congee & wonton noodle soup made to order. Left supperrrr full. Had no problems, not a fine dining experience but definitely good value!
