A true hidden gem! We ordered the butter chicken, naan, daal makhani, & a mango lassi. Every dish was excellent. The flavours were well balanced.
The butter chicken had just the right amount of sweetness & a beautiful, vibrant colour.
The daal makhani had a nice hint of heat. The naan was fresh, & the mango lassi tasted like it was made with plenty of real mango.
Everything was exactly what I was hoping for, & even better. I'll definitely be back for more ! (i would really like to have their chicken biryani next time👀)
We visited this restaurant last night while visiting Montreal. Found it on Google maps & it had great reviews , & was close to our hotel, so decided to try.
Wow !! Amazing food & service.
We ordered PaneerTikka , Butter Chicken , & Channa Masala with garlic Naan.
The Paneer Tikka came out sizzling on a cast iron grill & smelled & looked amazing . Tastes even better 😍
Every dish was bursting with flavour, loved them all.
Chatted with the owners, a family owned & run business for 25 years. Great experience overall, & look forward to returning on our next trip to Montreal .
Be sure to check out Didar Restaurant, highly recommend.
Best Indian restaurant in Montreal. Prices are soooo cheap! Butter chicken is to die for. I go at least once a month even if I now live in Sherbrooke. They have a 10$ all you can eat buffet all week long during lunch. They offer a variety of dishes ( soups, samosas, vegetarian & non vegetarian curries, Dal, Channa, fresh naans & rice, etc.) Tried pretty much everything & everything was amazing. Staff is nice as well! I think its run by a family. The place isnt fancy at all, the front of the building isnt actually nice but its so worth it. & its clean. You gotta try it!
Update: It's been 7 years since my initial review & this restaurant is still one of my favourite! I brought all my friends & family & everyone loves it!
The food is so good. The fish pakora was so tender, the papri chat so fresh & butter chicken so comforting. The service was also amazing, AJ was super attentive & really engaging. Bonus: if you play Clash Royal, talk to AJ, you'll find some things in common. Its definitely my favourite place to grab Indian food, I highly recommend.
Amazing could not recommend more! We are traveling from NYC & we're exhausted after a long day, we took the metro 30 min out to try this place. The food revitalized us & the staff had us laughing & felt like we were at a family table. Sweetest people & one of the best butter chicken, chicken biryani & channa samosa we have ever had (& we've tried a lot!). Again cannot emphasize enough, the staff are the SWEETEST!
Ordered it on uber eats, so can't speak of the atmosphere. The food was super good & the quantities were generous. The butter chicken & Naan (basic & garlic )were super good ! Will definitely order again !
