Restaurant Coréen Luna is widely regarded as a standout dining destination in Montreal, praised for its authentic, flavorful cuisine and welcoming, cozy atmosphere. Many patrons highlight the benefits of the bring your own wine policy, which enhances the overall value and enjoyment of their visit. While the majority of guests rave about the high quality of dishes like bibimbap, fried chicken, and various tasting menus, some note that the restaurant can be quite busy, leading to close seating arrangements and occasional noise. The service consistently receives high marks for being friendly, attentive, and informative, with staff members frequently assisting guests in navigating the menu. Although opinions on price and authenticity vary slightly among self-proclaimed Korean food enthusiasts, the establishment remains a popular choice for both casual dinners and special celebrations.
Food was amazing. The service was great. Highly recommend Bibimbap as a main dish. Korean BBQ was ok, not a must. Appetizers were small, yet enough for the experience menu. Prices & the quality of food & service are very compatible. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is the force 18% tips. I think it's a disrespectful format most restaurants are working with. I must say I almost gave 3 stars for that.
Note for people with autism: the lighting is soothing but the place is very loud. It sits maybe 40 people & the walls reverberate sound so we couldn't hear ourselves talk unless we raised our voices uncomfortably. The sound could be muffled with simple curtains on the walls. This said, the food was great! A bit on the pricy side (two main menu choices, one is $37 & the other is the same but with more food, $47 each plus taxes & service) but it's BYOB so it helped. We won't go back because of the noise but the food was exquisite so we might order take out one day.
On recommande vivement!
