Overall Luna earns strong praise for flavorful, authentic Korean dishes, generous portions and consistently friendly, attentive service. The menu includes both classic staples and tasting options like full moon or demi lune, with many guests appreciating the ability to bring their own wine. The ambiance is described as warm and intimate, though sometimes lively and tables can feel a bit close. Most reviews highlight the quality, presentation, and variety of dishes such as bibimbap, japchae, dumplings and bbq, and several note that the kitchen adapts well for vegans or different preferences. A few experiences mention inconsistent vegan substitutions, occasional misunderstandings about the tasting menus and value questions given price, but the majority say the overall experience justifies a return. Reservations are often recommended on weekends due to high demand, and many guests leave convinced Luna is among the best Korean spots in Montreal. It is seen as a memorable, enjoyable dining experience with high marks for both food and service and a welcoming BYOB policy.
It is hard to write a weak review when the servers are super nice, friendly & attentive but I have to.
The food: while the service is superb, the food is not tasty & rather basic. Note that we tried the vegan menu on a Saturday night. It was not in par with other korean restaurants where vegetarian options are offered. The ingredients are good but the flavor is missing.
The ambiance: cozy but it is too much as you hear the conversations of those to your right or left. Zero personal space between tables & it is a very loud place.
soooo guuuuuuud! take the full moon tasting menu. Very nice & traditional Korean flavors (I know what I am talking about when I go to an East Asian restaurant ok!!!!) staff & the ladyboss were soooo cute. god bless the cooks in the kitchen hope you win the lottery one day. We love u
Nice Korean restaurant in Montreal! The food is great & staff is friendly! You can bring your own wine. I recommend to take the full menu, the portion size are really good! The tables are really close to each others.
Had high hopes as the atmosphere was nice & the staff was friendly.
However, was extremely disappointed eating here. It's catered towards Westerners that don't eat Korean food & is very overpriced for what it is. The menu was confusing. There was also Korean bbq on the menu (& mentioned in the restaurant name) but it's not authentic Korean bbq, more like a bulgogi you might get in a food court.
The worst part is that 4/7 of my group got diarrhea or upset stomachs after eating here.
I would avoid going here because specially if you are used to eating authentic Korean food.
One of the best Korean places I've ever visited!!!! Just outstanding food, super observant service & good recommendations. We had quite a few dishes & every time it surpassed the other, ended with just super delicious Matcha Mochi which can't be missed!!!! 2000% would be visiting again whenever in Montreal!!!!

Good place for original Korean food... Even if I know this food I was surprised by the meal's offer. I'll be back at my next trip at Montreal to continue to explore the menu.
This is the best Korean I have had so far. The depth of flavour is exquisitely balanced & gratifying in each bite. This is not hyperbole, it's a personal recommendation from someone with love affair with Korean cuisine.
Delicious food. They offer an elevated food preparation & presentation & we enjoyed it. Don't expect an authentic old school Korean experience as you may be disappointed if you came looking that. We had the full moon menu & chose the pork & so kalbi. Both were very good.
We had an awesome experience at Luna! The food is exceptional, it looks & taste very much like genuine Korean food. The service is curteous, prompt & very pleasant. The atmosphere is cosy with darker tones & the place is clean. Overall we had an amazing experience!

Quite a disappointing experience overall, & we generally love Korean food. I had the jaepchae & my husband had the bibimbap, both with pork. His dish was fairly warm, not hot. Mine was lukewarm. The pork was placed on top of both dishes & was room temperature - obviously cooked earlier & added at the time of serving. We didn't realize one brought one's own wine & so we ordered green tea. I was shocked when the bill for the tea was $9 for two cups. A mug, hot water, a teabag, no refills offered because the one server was crazy busy with the whole restaurant to serve ( she was literally running). All in all, quite pricey & definitely not worth it.
Incredible authentic Korean dishes & very friendly fast service!
Took us a little time to be seated but understandable with how busy it was. Reservations are a must.
Cozy & intimate atmosphere, perfect for groups or 1 on 1. Highly recommend! Will definitely be coming back.
I lived in Seoul for a time & was both excited & a little apprehensive about trying Luna. I needn't have worried: The food was delicious, especially the beef bulgogi, a Korean BBQ dish that, when properly cooked, is both tender & flavorful. The mochi matte-infused ice cream at the end was also a delightful surprise. The service, especially a multilingual Ukrainian waiter, was excellent. I also really appreciated that you can bring your own wine. My only complaint is that the five-appetizer'Pleine Lune' tasting meal is, in fact, three appetizers plus four delicious steamed dumplings the restaurant counts as two appetizers as the dish contains two different types of dumplings. I also hankered for more kimchi. Unlike in Korea, where kimchi is typically a generous & unlimited staple in meals, the only kimchi on offer was a tiny plate at the beginning. Those shortcomings aside, Luna is authentic & tasty & I'd happily return.

Had a great dinner here. You can enjoy decent Korean cuisine here. I liked that the taste wasn't too strong or spicy. The food served as a course was nea. I wish the pieces of pork in the stir-fried pork were a little bigge
This is such a great restaurant! Authentic amazing Korean cuisine! Loved the presentation of everything we ordered! Service was so so good! Very patient at explaining everything to us! & you can bring your own wine! Would highly recommend this spot & would definitely eat here again!
