Nous sommes entrées un peu par hasard & nous avons été charmées. Tout était excellent. Des plats simples avec la complexité de la cuisine chinoise & la délicatesse de la cuisine française. & que dire du service... Nous n'avons manqué de rien, tout le monde était très attentif & on lisait presque dans nos pensées. J'ai adoré mon expérience & reviendrai assurément. Bravo!
Had a really nice experience at Chouchou. The food was flavorful & well prepared, you can tell there's attention to detail. The atmosphere is cozy & relaxed, & the service felt genuinely friendly. Overall a great spot, I'd definitely come back 😊

Restaurant Chouchou is something that has surprisingly been missing from Montréal. The restaurant has a bustling, yet intimate, French bistro ambiance, serving Chinese cuisine with a distinct French flair. The char siu pork is notably tender, & the accompanying pickled vegetables balance the richness of the dishes with their tartness & crisp texture. The dessert, presented with a blend of colors, textures, & flavors, is a sophisticated reinterpretation of a classic.
Magnifique expérience culinaire. Visuellement & au goût, nous avons adoré ! Les plats à partager sortent de l'ordinaire & ils sont sans prétention. Belle ambiance & un bon service aussi !
Nourriture absolument délicieuse! Les poireaux ainsi que le canards étaient mes préférés. La lumière pourrait par contre être plus tamisé & le son mieux géré.

Le plat d'asperges blanches était absolument délicieux, tout comme le sandwich de canard laqué & le tartare de tofu, alors que la noix de pétoncle à la coco était décevante.
Le service est efficace & sympathique. Prix des cocktail élevé surtout pour la taille du verre.
Une bonne expérience pour les amateurs de saveurs très variées.

Par contre on ne peut comprendre les prix pour la quantité dans chaque assiette. J'ai l'habitude des restaurants gastronomiques plus chers qu'ailleurs mais ce n'est pas acceptable. Par exemple la coquille Saint-Jacques contient un demi pétoncle & deux petites crevettes & les asperges blanches consistent en une seule asperge décomposée. Une promesse malheureusement non remplie pour le coût total final.
I entered with skepticism after browsing the menu, curious, almost unconvinced that elevated French methods would work on traditional Chinese flavors. Yet I left, with positive sentiment, about what I just consumed. It was familiar but different, creative & stunning, a unique dining experience. It was a fine dining adventure that offered value & one of a kind menu, in a culinary city where one thinks they have seen it all.
Personal highlights include the miso tea egg flavored with black bean dace (that traditional oval can found in Chinese grocery stores) & the Pekin duck bun. One minor comment or a one-off, I wish the ravioli was served a bit hotter, but perhaps there was a purpose for it being warm.
Everything is made in-house, you can taste the quality & care. I recommend to all to at least give this newcomer a try & see for yourself. The menu DOES work!
Le meilleur service, les serveur.euses sont très gentils & serviables. La nourriture est incroyablement bonne & les aliments sont frais & somptueux. Je recommande fortement & j'ai hâte d'y retourner avec impatience
