The service was excellent. Thank you to the bar tender for sending me your restaurant & bar list. You're a real one. Our server was really funny & I'm glad she took the time to tease me & tell I'm wrong about a few things. That kind of service is honest & refreshing.
The food however was really up & down. While I did enjoy the mackerel. I was very disappointed to have been served it with such an oxidized blood line. While it looks much fresher online in their photos! This should not be the case at the #7 best restaurant in Canada. Maybe don't order this dish on a Sunday. The knish was a bit dry for my taste. I would prefer it to be more moist. As a life long lover of knishes I was dying to try these & it turned to be my least favourite dish here. I had much better ones earlier in the day in Mile End.
The upside for was the octopus, clams & cannellini beans. This dish I will be raving about for a while. I also thought the foie gras dates were exceptional. Normally I don't like giving negative reviews. However I was looking forward to this meal a lot. I travelled here for my birthday dinner from across the country & I'm leaving kind of disappointed. I probably won't be back at this price point for inconsistent quality.Voir plus

After living in Montreal for five years & traveling extensively through the USA, Europe, & Asia, I can confidently say Beba ranks in the top 5% of restaurants I've experienced worldwide.
The atmosphere is warm, the service impeccable, & every dish is crafted with creativity & care. The flavors are bold yet refined, turning simple ingredients into something unforgettable.
The service was excellent, & the bartender (his name is Evan) was especially kind & welcoming. His recommendations were great ! That personal touch really elevated the entire experience.

The food was at best average. Dishes lacked passion. Favourably didnt blend well at all. Pricing was high for this quality.

Was a Chef for 8 years worked in top restaurants in the country but this was a classic Montreal fine dining disaster. Service was horrible our server was rude condescending & injected too much of her opinion. Please kindly let go of the one with the tattoo sleeve on her arm. Her resting face was very unpleasant. Please garnish your dishes at this price point.

Really surprised to see the reviews re. service; we came here a few weeks ago & found the service absolutely exquisite. The bartender (Kathleen?) was super sweet (she suggested'Pisco
Sours' with a splash of passionfruit, which were phenomenal) & Marie -Eve was engaging & attentive, constantly topping up our glasses, making sure the table was wiped after each service, getting our coats whenever we wanted to smoke. She took time to explain how each item was prepared & the source of the ingredients- which made us want to try every last thing on the menu, a truly enthusiastic presentation. We felt pampered the whole time we were there by a warm & welcoming staff who clearly take pride in their work & are passionate about the dishes & vibe they create. Ambiance/seating/lighting was chill & comforting. Highly recommend the mackerel-bagel-fusion dish & pheasant with fava beans. We had a superb time🤍Voir plus

It might not look like much from the outside but it is worth the hype. The food is flavorful without a dull bite, & I really enjoyed the plays in textures they worked with. We took some of their off-menu items, & they did not disappoint.
We were seated at the bar & enjoyed the conversation with the bartender, who was always eager to discuss food & (very good) drinks. Regarding their drinks menu, they had an interesting selection of cocktails (way beyond the ordinary), & also had a large selection of amaro (they were kind enough to let us taste before serving us a full glass).
Music was not too loud that we needed to shout, but enough that we couldn't hear other tables. Service was fast & precise. The change of plates & cutlery after every service was a nice touch. The local is quite small, which meant we could also enjoy the view of the kitchen quite easily from our bar seats.Voir plus
