Bar Vivar is undoubtedly the best tapas restaurant in Montreal & rivals the best spots in Spain. Chef Georges is a perfectionist when it comes to his craft with unique recipes, freshest ingredients & constantly changing menu. Excellent is an understatement.
Soy espanola y tanto la comida como el vino estaban muy buenos. Los platos son muy originales y cada semana cambian el menú. El servicio muy atento y simpático. Lo recomiendo al 100%. Se nota la pasión por la cocina y la gastronomía espanola.
Amazing place! The chef is an expert in Spanish cuisine. The place has a special charm & many details from Galicia (northern Spain). The Spanish tortilla with crab, & the octopus were delicious. It was a surprise to find this place in Montreal. The Santiago's cake teleported me to Spain ❤️. All the staff are very friendly. A place worth visiting!
Un sitio muy agradable en una calle muy animada. Preparan buenos platos típicos espanoles y tienen un servicio muy amable. El chico de cocina es muy majo y conoce perfectamente la cocina espanola. ¡La tarta de Santiago es espectacular!

My Husband & I had a delightful experience at Vivar with Patrick one of the owners. The food is fresh, delicious with beautiful presentation. Patrick's knowledge of wine was amazing, he had us enjoying a great variety of wines from around the world. The place is cozy & welcoming. If I didn't live 6 hours away I would make this my go to place tapas & wine. You must put this on your list of places to try!
This is my new favorite tapas bar place in Montreal. The food is simply delicious from start to finish. The restaurant/bar has that relaxed, fun feel, where you can catch a sports game while eating. We had various plates from the daily menu & everything was super delicious. The service is simply impeccable (thank you Patrick!). Will certainly go back again & again to Bar Vivar.

Excellent & le meilleur restaurant espagnol à Montréal. Les bouffes sont authentiques. Le propriétaire & le manager sont très sympas & drôles. Le service est impeccable! En plus, Il y a tout le temps des nouveaux plats chaque semaine dans ce restaurant, ce qui satisfait à mon appétit pour la bouffe de haute qualité.J'avais une expérience joyeuse!
Belle découverte. Les vins étaient délicieux, tous nos plats étaient parfaitement apprêtés mais la vedette de la soirée, sans aucun doute, les couteaux, O.M.G. cuisson à la perfection, ça goûtait le ciel. 🤤🤤🤤
What a great surprise! The restaurant has a great cozy ambiance & the service is incredible. The dishes were phenomenal, a real work of art! I highly recommend the octopus, it was superb, really soft & flavorful. The dishes are not huge if you are really hungry you might wanna order two. Will definitely be coming back here!

What an amazing new spot in the plateau! Food was delicious, service impeccable & very friendly. I recommend getting the crudo when available! Great place for casual drinks or for a full course meal. Will be bringing my friends here!
Coup de coeur pour ce resto/bar à vin qui a ouvert ses portes au début de l'année 2024! Si vous voulez découvrir de nouvelles saveurs, c'est l'endroit où mettent les pieds. Tout est centré sur la culture/cuisine espagnole de haute qualité. Le seul hic est qu'on ne peut pas placer de réservation & l'endroit est petit : donc mieux vaut arriver tôt! Autrement c'est à découvrir car l'expérience que vous en tirerez risque d'être concluante!

Certainly the best spanish tapas restaraunt in Montreal.The owner Georges is awesome & very friendly service from the front of house. Warm & intimate atmosphere transports you to the type of tapas bar you would find in Spain. Highly reccomended!
