View more
View more
This place is a total gem! The atmosphere is awesome, super chill vibes. The staff were all friendly & helpful. Plus, the menu? Amazing! They have everything you could want for brunch, from sweet treats to savory dishes, & they even have some unique local options that set them apart. The interior design is seriously cool - all fireplaces & old-fashioned Quebec charm. We went in the summer, but I bet it's super cozy in the winter too. They even have a waiting area with free coffee for people waiting for a table, which is such a nice touch!View more
Can't say enough about this restaurant! Every time we're in Quebec, this is a must stop. The food is the real traditional Québécois fare & is delicious. The portions are huge, too. They don't skimp. & the Country style bread is the best toasted bread to have with their jam! Could have a meal on that alone. The service has always been excellent, as well. Always so fast, attentive & friendly. Never once had a server that didn't have a big smile to go along with breakfast! The atmosphere is as inviting as the food. It's has that warm rustic charm that we love & lingering by the fireplace with family after a great meal just tops off the whole experience. The small deli also sells jams, beets, baked beans, pies, etc. Basically what they serve you can also buy & take home. Suffice it to say, this is our favourite breakfast/brunch restaurant in Quebec! Highly recommend & look forward to our next visit!View more
Brunch excellent!!! 🎖️🎖️🎖️🎖️🎖️View more
Giant brunch place with cabane à sucre vibes. Be ready to wait a long time if you go there on the weekend for brunch. The food is great, satisfying brunch classics. Definitely recommend thay you order the baked beans!View more
Again, another iconic Montreal/up north restaurant that's been around for decades with a rich local French Canadian history. This place burned down at least once in aware of & was rebuilt & then towards the end of covid they also renovated & I think expanded as well. The atmosphere is a cozy Canadians country house feel, & waiting for a table is awesome as the have unlimited coffee & hot chocolate & a big open hearth fire pit & Adirondack seating. Once inside it's just as lovely & window seating gives views of the Laurention mountains as well - beautiful in the winter & fall. The specialy for lunch & dinner is the infamous home made porc sandwiches & that amazing porc & beans with maple syrup & fresh crusty bread. Add a soup & you have a meal just a soup & beans or soup & sandwich. Fries are nothing to speak about as they are standard frozen French fries. This place has an exception breakfast & brunch menue that includes options of mounds of bacon, homemade preserves, homemade crusty bread, homemade beans (mentioned above), & the house specialty would be "Ogre" at a bit over $15.00 Canadian plus tax & tip. This is an excellent place to go as an "Après ski" & you will often see people in their snow gear where stranger often share their experiences amongst each other as it's a very friendly environment. All credit cards accepted & super kid friendly with a kids menue too. If you're going on a weekend for breakfast or brunch, an institution for this meal, go very very early as they are likely going to have a line. They don't take reservations unless it's a large group I think but do check yourself. I've lived this place since childhood & it's always a treat to eat there & enjoy the amazing environment as well as a lovely drive up north if specifically coming from Montreal.View more
