Fresh ingredients & good balance. However the flavour is lacking, the lettuce should have dressing on it. The bread definitely needs improvement, its too crusty & dry. The vibe & decor inside is nice. If they fix the bread & add seasoning & dressing to the veggies, it has potential to be a top sandwhich spot in montreal, but for now, Bossa is still king.
Decent sandwich, except the bread was definitely not fresh. The person manning the counter called the orders / names out in a very quiet voice & let your sandwich just sit on the counter when you didn't hear them. In my opinion, they did a poor job at this very simple task.
But the sandwich is still good, in spite of the hard/old bread. Worth a visit if you're around, but not worth a dedicated trip.
I loved my experience here. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich & it was delicious. I love the bread they use, it's firm enough to make the sandwich easier to eat, but not too hard. They also used enough sauce, I hate I dry sandwich & this was not that. The atmosphere is great, love the cute retro vibe & they even have merch which is really cool. Thanks for the awesome lunch guys, I'll be back.
Worst sandwich bread I've ever had. Bread breaks after 2 bites & falls apart. Had a porchetta sandwich. Porchetta was also bland. Not going back
Honestly, great food & good vibes from the staff.
Are the sandwiches on the pricier side? Yeah, of course. But they're absolutely worth it. It's a good treat every now & then. They're absolutely packed with good quality ingredients.
The staff here are super friendly. I highly recommend trying this place out.
9/10 sandwiches. Not a perfect rating because we've come a few times & they ran out of bread. Can even be used as a blunt weapon.
This place kind of reminded me of BOSSA in Verdun. Different vibe & sandwich options though. I ordered the Turkey Club & it was gooooood. The sandwich was hefty, filled with delicious fresh ingredients. & the bread was really nice too! Crunchy crust with a nice soft body. As Arnie said,'I'll be back!'
This is hands down the best sandwich in Montreal (apologies to the other greats). The service is quick, the bread is incredible & the sandwiches are jam packed. You will leave full & very happy. Do not miss this spot.
If I lived here, I'd be here every week.
Fresh bread
Fresh ingredients
Tasted amazing - whatever the sauce was in the classic was unreal.
It was my 4th time trying Renzo & it was my 4th time being disapointed. At least this time, it didn't take 30 mins to get my sandwich ready.
This time i got the cheesesteak philly. The meat is ok. But what's up with all the marinated peppers? There is so much of those, that they take over how the sandwich taste. The cheese was some cheap cheese wiz. Not the standard provolone you would expect on a cheesesteak philly.
I will also talk about the size of the sandwiches themselves.. They are simply too big. They completely empty the bread & keep a super thin layer of crust & overfill it with the meat & condiment. Now, i know, i know, people usually complain there is not enough stuff in sandwiches most time. But i'm talking about balance here. Less is more should apply here.
I guess it's on me again this time & after 4 try, i know i saldy won't be going back.
I was super excited when i heard it was a club sandwich place.. but i guess it's just over hyped.
The roast beef & tomatoe sandwiches left much to be desired. Both were underseasoned, with the bread feeling plain & uninspired, & an overwhelming amount of lettuce that detracted from the overall flavour. The roast beef was at least cooked well, size was decent & price was good.
The atmosphere initially piqued my interest, offering a unique vibe, but that excitement quickly faded once the disappointing flavour of the sandwiches became apparent.
To top it off, the chocolate chip cookie was a major letdown - dry & stale, it lacked the freshness & gooey texture you'd expect. It's surprising how such a simple classic can be mishandled so thoroughly.
Overall, the experience fell short of expectations on both taste & execution.
Very disappointing. Not horrible, but disappointing. I ordered the italian roast beef. The bread itself was fresh & delicious however there was so much unseasoned shredded lettuce that it made my entire sandwich flavorless. The meat was also cold which isn't what comes to mind when you order a roast beef sandwich. My friends enjoyed their Renzo Sandwich, the chicken was crunchy, however also mentioned it was under seasoned. They said of all, the Philly Cheesesteak was the best.
My new go-to sandwich shop!!! The sandwiches are delicious. Portions are big! The bread is super fresh. & the staff is so nice.
New sandwich place in the neighborhood! It seems to be a trend lately but I'm not complaining, I love a good sandwich. This place has a cool retro, hipster vibe. Not much seating (only 4 booths of 2 & a counter top for 6 people), but there is lots of places to eat outside. I got the chicken Cesar & the ingredients were very fresh, the chicken juicy, & the bread airy & not too tough. I wish the chicken had a bit more seasoning or that they added a bit more sauce. Overall the sandwich's was really good but missing a bit of kick. My boyfriend got the chicken buffalo & it was very tangy! I loved the mix of flavours of the buffalo sauce with the chicken & the pickles. The sauce was a bit too sour for me but I had a couple of bites & it was good!
I would definitely come back since it's so close to Kem Coba & it's the perfect meal + dessert combo!
We visited Renzo's as part of our Montreal Sandwich Challenge & it was the perfect way to kick things off! 🥪 The sandwich was absolutely delicious - packed with flavor & super fresh ingredients. We loved the Italian-inspired touches like mortadella with a unique Montreal twist.
Eli ordered the Philly Cheesesteak & I got the Cubano. We loved the fresh ingredients, the crunchiness, bread, sandwich size, staff was very welcoming & helpful to make our choice.
Even though it's a small spot, it's clean & welcoming, with a cool retro vibe that makes it stand out. If you visit during the summer, you can even take your sandwich to one of the nearby parks & enjoy it outdoors - which we totally recommend!
Definitely worth the lineup. We'll be back to try more from the menu! Still in doubt, check out our vlog about this place.
