Renoir Restaurant offers a refined French Canadian dining experience with beautifully prepared dishes and thoughtful presentation in an elegant space that has benefited from recent renovations. The service is attentive and discreet, creating a welcoming atmosphere for business meals as well as relaxed occasions. The Sunday brunch, pastry selections, and overall menu are consistently praised, with guests noting the high quality of ingredients and the smooth pacing of courses. While some comments mention value considerations and occasional menu limitations, the overall impression is of a polished and memorable dining experience in a prime Montreal setting.

I had high expectations for the Easter brunch on April 5th, especially given the higher price point & my past positive experiences with the regular Sunday brunch. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing.

The selection was extremely limited-no smoothies, no decaf options, & very few choices overall. The food itself was ordinary at best, lacking the quality & variety I've come to expect. Even more surprising, there was no way to have meat cooked to a preferred temperature, which is quite basic for a brunch of this level.

Service was also noticeably slow, which added to the underwhelming experience.

I used to come here regularly, about once a month, & always enjoyed it. This time, however, left me genuinely questioning whether I'll return. For what was marketed as a special Easter brunch, it felt very misleading & not worth the premium price.

We had a wonderful Sunday brunch at Renoir at the Sofitel Montréal, & it was truly a memorable experience.

Chef Félix Duquet was incredibly impressive - not only for the quality of the food, but also for the care & attention he gave to the guests. He personally came by to ensure everything was perfect & made us feel genuinely welcomed. That level of hospitality makes a big difference.

The brunch itself was outstanding: beautifully prepared dishes, refined flavors, & the kind of thoughtful presentation you expect from a top Montreal restaurant. Every plate felt carefully crafted & delicious.

A big thank you to Chef Félix & the Renoir team for making our Sunday brunch so special. We will definitely be back.

As I step into the restaurant at the Sofitel Hotel'Renoir', I'm thinking wow, nice upscale restaurant, & when I think of upscale restaurants, I think amazing service, amazing atmosphere & most of all amazing food. Well….. yes some parts of Renoir were great like the server we had was nice, polite & took to our every need, but I don't know if she was fairly new because I found she did not know her menu very well. The atmosphere was nice, well cleaned & not so loud. We could talk to each other without yelling which was nice. Now brings me to the food. Now I love food, & no I'm not a professional food connoisseur, but I do work in a kitchen & feel I know what people are looking for, well I know what I am looking for. Let's start with the appetizers & the amuse bouch. A corn soupish with edible flowers & some crunchy things was tasty & worth having again. Very flavourful & not too big as to fill you for your appetizers & meal. Next the appetizer, Quebec's tomato gazpacho ricotta espuma with basil oil. This was by far the best thing I ate at Renoir. The flavour & aroma was on point. First time I ate gazpacho & now I'm hooked, so thank you for that. Then comes the main course. Let's just say after eating the gazpacho I was a little disappointed. The amount of food for the price. Yes it was duck & sure I expected to pay a bit more for duck but what I received was surprisingly small. So then you expect it to be amazing in flavour, well sorry to disappoint you it was just ok. & what's up with the leaf roll. I found does not match the story going on the plate. So let's move to dessert. If I understand correctly they have a baker in the kitchen & the cakes are made in house. I ordered the pistachio cake, very nice light & tasty. Has raspberry inside. Very good. All in All not a horrible experience. But I will mention it took very long to get the food from the kitchen to the table & it was not a busy Sunday by any means.

AMAZING
We had an exceptional experience once again. Rhonda & I are repeat customers, & continue to be consistently impressed by the superior quality of their Sunday brunch. We are to be married on Saturday, June 14th & I wanted to take Rhonda for a nice, relaxing Sunday brunch where we could step away from everything wedding & just enjoy each other at a stress free outting. The recent renovations exceeded our expectations, providing an ideal setting for everything from business lunches to romantic brunches. The food selection is extensive & among the finest we've encountered for a Sunday brunch anywhere in the world. The wet scrambled eggs & potatoes dauphinoise are particularly noteworthy. We were ecstatic to see the wet scrambled eggs are still part of the brunch experience. We highly recommend Renior for your weekday lunch, a weekly get-together with friends & especially for a romantic Sunday brunch.⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?
