I love Lou's, so I was looking forward to celebrating my birthday with my husband at Rendez-Vous. The food & drinks were outstanding, no notes what so ever. I just want to make a point to highlight the service. Nicholas & Hans were amazing. My husband made a comment in passing that it was my birthday & Hans proceeded to surprise us with a slice of incredible olive oil cake. It was such a perfect dining experience & we cannot wait to go back! Thank you for such a special evening Rendez-vous!

I went to have dinner with my boyfriend on a Friday night, trying to find a hidden gem in Pointe Claire close to the lake & we
end up to this place.
Pros:
Small place & very intimate.
We liked that the chef comes & brings the food on your table when they serve it.
The kitchen is just behind the bar & you could watch the chef while they cook your food.

Cons:
We find that the main courses were lacking of taste & portion were too small for its price. The grilled octopus was over cooked & missing some spices. The rotolo tastes better although my boyfriend finds the sauce a bit bitter. Also, there was no salt & pepper either on the table or offered. Our server forgot the water when she told us that she'll give it after serving our cocktail drinks but we understand that she's alone serving for everybody in the restaurant. The strawberry spritz cocktail was too bitter for me.

We would love to recommend the restaurant but I think it needs more improvement of the food & service.

Check this place out. First thing you will notice is the staff love working here. From the moment we got in Han's had us taken care of.
Outstanding Drinks, Apps & Mains. If you like cool spots & great food you have to try this place.

Tuna Credo & Caesar Salad for starters. The Tuna was good, very small portion though. The Ceasar I didn't like. It wasn't really a Caesar to be honest, & tasted way too smokey

Bucatini & Rotolo for mains. The pasta is delicious here. We loved both. The meat in the rotolo was cooked to perfection & the dough was so good. However i found it could be a little bit bigger as a portion.

The 3 stars comes from the service, which should be a 1 star. We were sat down with no menu for 20 minutes. Drinks were ordered first, then another 20 minutes before they took our order. Waitress wasn't sure if we ate so started offering us desserts. We could tell she was overwhelmed but instead of taking action, it looked more like she was panicking. The bartender started taking over to serve us. Even in the kitchen there was confusion since I could see them go back & forth on the orders. Overall, was a mediocre experience.

RDV Pointe-Claire is a gem & much needed addition to the PC village. Having moved to the West Island a few years ago from the city, I fully appreciate having this type of intimate, friendly & local hangout to be able to drop into for a drink or pass by for their tasty & very reasonably priced brunch on the weekend. Liam is extremely warm & inviting, this friendliness is mirrored in the staff. Spend local & encourage them.

super cozy & intimate restaurant with trendy vibes. the inside is quite small, bug still very nice. the food was SO good. we trued the squash,broccoli, focaccia, & pork & everything was excellent. the drinks were also good. the only thing i would change was the portions being a bit bigger for food & drinks. staff was very friendly & efficient .

So cute & fun addition to the West Island! Great vibes, great drinks, great wine & great food. Will definitely be back for a date or girls night out!
