Rendez-vous Bistro offers a diverse culinary landscape that fuses traditional Indian spice profiles with the charred precision of a live-fire grill and the comforting textures of Italian pasta. Diners encounter robust flavors derived from aromatic masalas and slow-cooked legumes alongside house-made noodles tossed in savory, herb-forward reductions. The menu prioritizes ingredient integrity by pairing high-heat searing techniques with complex, slow-simmered regional sauces. Architectural plating reflects a deliberate marriage between global street food heritage and refined pasta craftsmanship. Every dish emphasizes bold seasoning and textural contrast to ensure a consistent experience across each menu section. The establishment utilizes a focused cooking methodology that bridges the gap between subcontinent heat and classic Mediterranean influences through thoughtful preparation and structured flavor layering.
Rendez-vous Bistro is widely celebrated for offering a refined and authentic Indian dining experience in Montreal, with many diners praising the rich, complex flavors and high-quality ingredients used in their dishes. While a vast majority of patrons highlight the exceptional service, inviting atmosphere, and generous portion sizes, experiences regarding wait times and staff attentiveness can occasionally vary. Many reviewers emphasize the restaurant's unique Rajasthani-inspired offerings and consistent ability to deliver flavorful, well-presented meals, making it a highly recommended destination for both families and those seeking a memorable, elevated culinary experience.
Amazing experience at the Indian restaurant.
Food was amazing & equally good service,
Appetisers like Dahi bhalla, shrimps were delicious.
Lal Maas was cooked so well & the flavours were beyond (I have not tasted this quality in India also)
Finally chicken methi malai main course was simply a very well prepared dish.
The icing on the cake was the paan kulfi meting in the mouth.
Overall outstanding experience & looking forward to visit again in the next trip.

5. The staff were extremely polite, well mannered, & attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable.
This is definitely another go to place for real Indian flavor, especially for those who appreciate refined cuisine & great service.
We visited Rendezvous, an Indian bistro in Montreal, expecting a delightful evening, but it fell flat. Although the restaurant wasn't busy & we were seated quickly, the service was off from the start, our three cocktails arrived long after the appetizers, which is such a basic service mishap. The drinks were just okay, & so were the appetizers, nothing memorable. The basil chicken, touted as a special, lacked any real spice & was surprisingly dry. The main courses didn't fare much better as the meat was tough, & the masala wasn't properly cooked, missing that crucial flavor balance. Strangely, we overheard another table also disappointed. Considering the glowing 4.8 rating on Google, it's baffling this felt more like a 3-star experience. Just add a line at the end stating that usually I don't rate the restaurants where I have bad experiences, but seeing 4.8 rating, I felt like it's my moral duty to let people know that this definitely does feel like an organicly gained 4.8 rating.
