The first thing about this place: the barista makes the cutest coffee ever. See the image if you do not believe me. That said the espresso was amazing too. This cafe was a recommendation & I was glad we went here. The ambience is chic, & vibrant. They have two large medium halls & yet there is a queue up in front. The charming thing is, they offer you tea while you wait. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink as we sat down & Zoe who waited on us, was impeccable with her service. She knew the dishes & was spot on with her suggestions. The food tasted as good as they looked. Overall a great experience!Voir plus
Accueil impeccable, très bon brunch & portions généreuses. A noter: - Pour les enfants : ils avaient préparé notre table avec des crayons de couleur & même un cookie a décorer pour notre enfant. - portions généreuses : nous avons testé le croque madame & l'oeuf & boeuf. Les 2 plats étaient délicieux mais on a préféré l'oeuf & boeuf pour son goût. Le croissant du croque madame n'était pas très croustillant. - Petit échantillon du jus du jour offert : un mélange de fruits qui était très bon & très apprécié , surtout lorsqu'on a faim & qu'on attend son plat.Voir plus

We visit this place every year when we visit Quebec passing Montreal. The food & service is impeccable as always. I went through couples of negative reviews & it seemed most of people are complaining that the place is not friendly to English speakers. Seriously folks, at least you should try to learn one or two French to show some basic respect to the restaurant as it is a dual-ways conception. People there will immediately notice that you are not a native French speaker & try to communicate with you in English, & based on our experience, they will only appreciate that you are at least trying. We visited this place with high expectations. Despite the long queue outside (as they don't take advance reservations), they served us complimentary hot tea while we waited in the freezing -5°C cold for an hour. Once seated, we were welcomed with a refreshing complimentary drink. For my 3-year-old, they thoughtfully provided coloring supplies along with a cookie, cream, & sweet sprinkles. The food portions were massive-difficult to finish-& their famous Scotch egg comes with a meat coating, so keep that in mind when ordering. It's a great spot for brunch, but considering the wait time & the portion sizes, it feels more like a once-in-a-while experience.Voir plus

Giving this 3 stars instead of 5 because I was a bit upset re the service. I thought the food we got was very tasty & we can see why the Montreal locals lined up for this place - we also lined up in the rain for 2 hours. Initially, our waiter was really nice to us bc me & my friend spoke French to him initially. However we had a third friend with us who spoke no French & after my third friend started talking, we noticed the waiter completely changed his attitude towards us & became a lot colder & less friendly.Voir plus
