I love the concept at Randolph & I go there often, don't get me wrong, but this time I noticed a lot.

Before everything, I must say that the service offered by our waitress (lady with short hair & glasses) & our gamemaster (gentleman with long hair) was AMAZING!
The waitress was quick to get our orders & was so friendly & the gamemaster was so helpful with finding us the most fun games!

When my small group & I first arrived we went in by what seems like an unspecified'backdoor' where we were not greeted nor guided to the right entrance. After noticing a big group of people waiting on the opposite side, we quickly realized where the actual entrance was. We were aware of their late policy where if you arrive more than 15min late they cancel your reservation, so we were glad we got there just on time. Despite this, we waited & waited for the hostess to finally show up & greet us, which caused the 15min to become 20min.
Unfortunately, we were welcomed by a rude & aggressively toned lady who refused to accommodate our reservation as we were'too late'.
I respect the policy they have, especially considering how busy this place gets, but rejecting our reservation this rudely (5min after the cutoff) before we could even explain why we were welcomed this late was not how good service should be offered.
We were taken aback by the way the hostess spoke to us, but decided to ignore it as we were here to have a good time & because she still put us on a waiting list to be seated.

As for the food, real life'expectations vs reality'. Do not trust the pictures on their menu or else you will be disappointed. The food quality is as you'd expect for pub food, so no complaints there of course. But the portions… Tiny! Please look at how the'shareable nachos' look on their menu vs what we received… The poutine was small, but not advertised as shareable (so it's understandable), but we still enjoyed it!

Moral of the story, if you go to Randolph, just go for the cool vibes! Don't expect much from the food & welcome experience, but expect to play fun games & listen to good music!

Nice place to play some boardgames with friends. Snacks are pretty pricey though. Pretty loud ambiance can make it hard to hear one another . Employees were all very kind & helpful.

Great place with lots of board games to try out. The entrance fee is reasonable & you can order food & drinks while you play. The food & drinks are ok (taste is good, but obviously not as good as a restaurant) & the prices are similar to other bars. The main issue is the noise level, on busy nights you can't hear the people at your own table. I've also had a bad experience with service once, where our waitress would forget to bring our drinks/food & made several mistakes before overcharging us. Thankfully we were able to get someone else to correct the price & it hasn't happened again. My favorite game to play there is telestration.

Randolph is an absolute gem! It's a fantastic place where you can eat delicious food & play an array of board games. They have attentive staff who serve you with a smile, & the game gurus are there to help you pick & explain games if you need any assistance. The service is amazing, & everyone working there is very patient & friendly.

We had a fabulous night filled with food, beers, & endless fun. The quality of the food was impressive, especially for a place that's not a traditional restaurant. The flavors were spot on, & it really added to our overall great experience. If you're looking for a unique, fun-filled evening, Randolf is the place to be!

Food & service was okay, nothing bad to say about it however, I met with my friends there, we were like 8-9 people. I ordered a $18 poutine & I was shocked when I see thr receipt. It was $33 (Before Tip). I asked them why it's almost double priced & they told me card game fee & something. Just checked & saw $9 card game fee. Firstly, I didn't even play. Why you charging everyone at the table? & secondly, if you charged everyone $9 per person for a card game, thats almost $80 per table for using basic used cards for an hour. You can go anywhere on this planet & still that's gonna be called "Scam". Do not normalize extra fees in this kind of non luxury places. I don't think I will visit this place again.

A very fun place to be with friends or even on a date! There are plenty of board games & drinks to have fun as well as good food to fill you up for the night. Its definitely a loud place considering everyone's playing board games next to each other so keep that in mind. Their present drinks in such a fun way in lab flasks & tubes etc

We've been to Randolph twice, & loved it. Went to the Centropolis one last week with a rez, the girl at the front asked for ID & my bf showed his & I showed a scanned version of mine but she refused it. We had never been carded before & we're both in our 20s. Went again yesterday with a rez, & the guy didn't card us at all & we went it & played & everything. I don't understand why that girl rejected us but they lost customers that day & we had come a long way to be there.. very bad attitude from her part too ( small québécoise girl with short hair) , didn't appreciate it.

Nice cosy place, good drinks & food, personnel joyful, game master full of energy. Just got a couple mistakes & slowness in the service but nothing major, & mistakes were fixed. A good place to spend time playing & enjoying good company. Mushroom & bacon Mac & cheese was really nice. Thanks 🙏

I would like to express that the ambiance, characterized by lively background music, although appreciated for setting a dynamic tone, might be further refined with a mellower, lounge-style soundtrack to enhance the serene atmosphere, enabling more seamless interaction among players seated around the tables. As for the culinary aspect, finger foods play a pivotal role. We sampled the Nachos, & while the beverages were exceptional, the Nachos, unfortunately, were overly saturated, posing challenges for both finger food etiquette & card game compatibility.

Was a little surprised at the lack of attention from the game attendant.

The two people working did t know the game that we wanted to play. No worries, but they didn't suggest anything else & we had to run after them for explanation

Overall good. Lack of light where we were sitting & it could not be turned on because it was on a different circuit which made it difficult to play the game. Food was average, portions were very different; ex césar salad was huge & poutine was small.

I really enjoy this place, I love that you can have a meal with friends & choose from almost any board game invented to play.
We spent four hours just getting to know each other better, laughing, playing & eating.
The food is not showstopping but it's good food, especially the poutine & burgers.
We were there more for the games, but they do have some great Mocktails�
I will say it can get pretty loud in there with everyone playing games, which is to be expected. We went earlier in the day (around 4pm) & it was much quieter.

We had a reservation for 8-10.

We had a blast, plenty of drinks & the food is good!
We played games we already knew & the last game we played was a new one, the animator quickly explained everything & we started losing the game wholeheartedly (Gallapagos, you need to survive as a group)

Honestly, it's always a good time! The food is good, the staff is amazing & the games were really fun! Overall very good evening!
The only "ick" is that we had waited for 40mins between we stopped playing & when we finally got an eye contact from the server for the final receipts. Not blaming anyone, the room was packed & I completely understand the situation!
