The Raman was not bad but it's a bit overrated. The Cha-Shu could be better, it was too dry & too lean. Not sure if this is Hiroshima stlye of Cha-Shu.

Ramen Youki has a great, cozy atmosphere that feels genuinely authentic the moment you walk in. This is their first overseas location of their main store in Hiroshima & the walls are lined with photos of their history. The staff are super friendly & welcoming, which made for a pleasant visit despite the kitchen running a bit slow on pacing when we were there right at opening.

The small plates were the real stars of the meal. The wagyu sushi shot was tender & delicious, & the karaage was crisp & flavor-packed with a lipsmackingly good mayo dip.

The ramen broth was just a bit different than what I expected based on the menu. Instead of a thick, rich tonkotsu, it comes across as a lighter, classic chuuka soba style. It is still an enjoyable bowl, just helpful to know what to expect if you are looking for a heavier pork broth.

Overall, a lovely spot with great sides & a warm vibe. Not sure I'll be back with the long lines & wait, but it's definitely the most authentic ramen I've had in Montreal.

A good place to go if you miss Japan, the service is amazing, the ramen is delightful. I haven't tried it yet but they seem to have an amazing sake collection with some private imports as well

I'm a ramen snob. My opinion is that you will not find better ramen unless you go to Japan. The atmosphere is cool & people here are very friendly.

A charming, cozy little ramen spot with warm lighting, Japanese décor, & a welcoming Hiroshima-inspired atmosphere. The intimate setup gives it character, though seating is quite tight. The food was good but didn't fully justify the price-two items came to nearly $50 after tax & tip-so come more for the atmosphere than exceptional value.

We came here for ramen at lunch & once for their omokase/sake night. Food was delicious & the staff were very welcoming! Happy to have such great Japanese food in Montreal!
