LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING!

I had one of the best times of my life at Ramen Youki. ❤❤🔥🔥

I started off with a pork onigiri & it was the best rice I've ever bitten into for an onigiri. That was the perfect way to start.

Then, it was on to the Hiroshima tonkotsu ramen. Their ramen is FLAWLESS: a broth prepared over 2 days, full of flavour yet light enough for you to consider ordering a 2nd bowl (which I did). I went IN.

They have plum wine which will always get me in the door (I'm addicted. Seriously) &, because the hits keep coming, they also have some amazing, privately imported sake. I wish I took some pictures but they brought out 3 different bottles & I got a glass of all 3. I've never had sake that went down any smoother than these.

Food is good (the most important), always, but service is what makes an experience truly unforgettable & that's what makes Ramen Youki shine the brightest. The waiter, Kevin, was awesome & the cook, also Kevin, is already one of my favourite people; conversation for days, super knowledgeable & just a beast to the craft (you've seen my ramen bowls. Come on now).

I wish I got the name of the person who brought the sake (the man from Hiroshima... You know what? Maybe I should just call him that. It has a legendary sound to it) but he was amazing as well.

The vibes here are just fantastic. I love the staff & I LOVE Ramen Youki. I'm coming back. Don't worry about that. I'm. Coming. Back.

The ramen here was truly delicious.
As a Japanese person who loves authentic ramen, it's by far the best I've had in Montreal. The soup is rich yet has a light aftertaste, & the noodles are perfectly smooth. You absolutely have to try the karaage, too; it's the best I've ever eaten & truly shocking. The combination with cilantro & mayo is genius. For the ultimate experience, I highly recommend the ramen, karaage, & a dry sake. I was so happy to experience Japanese culture here. I'll definitely be back.
