Ramen Isshin specializes in traditional Japanese noodle craft by centering its menu on complex, multi-layered broth preparations. Signature bowls feature tonkotsu bases simmered for extended periods to achieve a creamy consistency, paired with custom-made wheat noodles that maintain an ideal texture. The kitchen prioritizes authentic umami profiles by incorporating elements like miso, soy sauce, and sea salt, complemented by perfectly marinated soft-boiled eggs and tender slices of slow-cooked pork belly. Diners encounter a focused menu design that emphasizes technical precision in every bowl, ranging from spicy red miso varieties to delicate shio options. The atmosphere reflects the standard aesthetic of modern noodle houses, utilizing wooden accents and open kitchen views to prioritize efficiency and culinary transparency. This establishment maintains a rigid commitment to the foundational techniques of authentic regional Japanese ramen preparations.
Ramen Isshin delivers rich, comforting broths and generous bowls that many reviewers praise for texture and flavor. Some diners note that the price can be high for what is offered and that some soups are very salty. Service is described as friendly and attentive by many, though a few reviews mention inconsistent service or rude behavior by staff. Located in a mall, easy parking is a big plus, but seating can be limited during peak times. Menu offers more than ramen, including a seafood crepe and octopus, and some reviewers appreciate the option to customize or choose from several flavors. Overall, Ramen Isshin is a solid option for ramen lovers, delivering hearty servings and a satisfying broth, with caveats about salt, price, and seating.
Excellent ramen! I had the Red Dragon & while it was super spicy, it was totally delicious. Pleasant service too. Happy to finally have a Ramen resto in the east end.
Finally, something new in the area. You gotta order on the machine yourself, & when your buzzer goes off, you pick up your food. The food was alright, just a bit salty.
We usually come here me & my girlfriend a lot & the food is usually good but yesterday night our Dragon Ramen tasted like soap.
We could not fully finish it. I don't know if maybe the bowl was not fully cleaned or soap was dropped on accident or if one of the ingredients was expired.
I just wanted to bring awareness to the staff. We still love this place.
This is exactly what Anjou was missing!! Hands down best ramen in Montreal, I just can't get enough. Service is very courteous too & the staff seem confident & passionate.

I really like the Remen here, they serve fast & the it tastes great! I came with my daughter & we will come back for sure, hopefully they can have dessert soon.
New ramen place in Galerie d'Anjou. I tried the burnt garlic shoyu ramen. Broth is concentrated & thick. It is too salty to my liking but it's good nevertheless. We went to the Brossard branch & it tastes the same so they are consistent.
Packaged meticulously for take out. (Broth, noodles & seaweed are packed separately).
Probably the best ramen restaurant I've ever tried. I ordered the Red Dragon, & it was probably the perfect balance of flavor & spiciness I've ever tasted. I recommend this restaurant 100%.
I love ramen isshin! Amazing staff! The saturday cashier is the best. He explains the menu very well & makes the experience better! The manager is super nice!
