Had a few beers with a friends of mine. The server let me taste test one which was nice of them. They provided a clean & well maintained facilities too.
The beer was great & had nitrogen infused options 👍🏻!
The street in front of the business is being maintained so they might be suffering a bit from that.
Honestly, the best bar in Montreal! Incredible service, a super friendly staff, & amazing food-especially the pot pie. I can't recommend it enough!
Such great service here! I asked to sit somewhere quiet, & they had the perfect spot. The waiter was so polite & friendly, she was fantastic. I ordered a wolf & workman ale & dinner. Get the chicken pot pie! It's a showstopper.
Great service & vibes, unfortunately dry & flavorless burgers. We loved being here to watch sports but the food kinda has that tourist trap feel where it looks so, so much better than it tastes. The buns were like crumbly dry & the beef patty soaked up my mouth like saltines do. The roasted cauliflower salad was pretty good, just didn't wow me at all.
We have been here twice since we arrived for a conference in Montreal. The staff are friendly & welcoming & the patrons were friendly. I really enjoyed the chicken pot pie & the old fashions were spectacular. Highly recommend this establishment to people are wanting to experience the Montreal culture.
Great food the wife had the huge chicken pot pie was very hot & delicious, I had the W W burger was very tasty !!The old fashion with
Makers Mark 514 was great we would definitely come back!!
We had the pleasure of eating & sipping cocktails at The Wolf & Workman Pub, & it truly felt like stepping into a classic London pub-only with a uniquely Montreal twist. Tucked away in the charming Old Town, this spot delivered on every front, from its outstanding food to its inviting ambiance & top-notch bar service.
What truly sets The Wolf & Workman apart is its exceptional blend of traditional pub fare & local Quebecois ingredients. The menu proudly features seasonal produce sourced from Quebec's independent farmers. We had the chance to try several dishes, including the Beef Tartare, Calamari, Scotch Egg, Salmon Gravlax, Gnocchi Bolognese, & Quebec Pork Schnitzel-each dish was delicious.
The drinks deserve a mention of their own. The mixologist behind the bar was a true artist, crafting cocktails that were as visually captivating as they were tasty. The cocktail menu incorporated local flavours, which added a twist to every classic drink.
A standout moment of our visit was meeting Sean Michael, one of the co-owners. He made us feel incredibly welcome & took the time to share the intriguing history behind the pub. Hearing about The Wolf & Workman's journey & its commitment to quality truly enhanced the experience. Sean's genuine passion for the pub is reflected in every detail, making the space feel even more special.
The atmosphere was cozy & intimate, with rich wood accents & warm lighting that evoke the spirit of a beloved British pub-but with a distinctly Montreal touch. It was the perfect place for a casual laid-back yet sophisticated evening.
The Wolf & Workman Pub is a must-visit for anyone in search of outstanding food, exceptional cocktails, & a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's a spot you'll want to return to. A perfect blend of London charm & Quebec pride-what's not to love?
The schnitzel was amazing. Great place to enjoy a drink & eat
Don't know if it's like this every night, but the staff were amazing. Super attentive without being pushy, good recommendations, got me an seat with a back when I needed it. I'd definitely visit again !
Je suis la pizza 🍕🍕
The pub is near our hotel & we have stopped in a couple of times for either a drink or a bite or both. Each stop has been great - the staff are really friendly & helpful, the food is very good & the overall vibe is really fun!
We had reservations on a Sunday morning. Our table was ready for us when we arrived. Parking in the old port can be tricky but there are paid parking lots & street parking available. The menu is a reasonable size. Good options to choose from. We got the croissant sandwich & the omelette. The omelette was a bit too runny (you can see in the photo). The potatoes were great. Service was good. Not too slow but didn't feel rushed either. I might consider coming back here for brunch if I'm ever in the area.
We went in for their famous pot pie & drinks. The pie was delicious, the cocktails were on par too.
One of our favorite spots in Montreal, we came two times during our 5 day stay in the city. Both times we sat at the bar & had a couple of rounds of cocktails, & all of them were perfectly done, both times we had an extra round as how good they were, nothing too fancy just well done & down to earth. With the food we only tasted their fries which were very tasty, crunchy & salty. The bartenders & waiters were focused, friendly & polite, always willing to answer any questions graciously no matter how busy they were. We were made feel at home & we cannot wait to come back!
S'était une première pour le Scotch egg, délicieux Les meilleurs bénédictines selon mon fils. Décor à l'anglaise & ambiance décontractée. Bon service!
Back in November my girlfriend & I ate here while on vacation from Winnipeg. The entire experience was incredible! I had the beef tartare & a couple banana sours. Two months later I'm still thinking about that beef tartare lol
Très belle ambiance. Très bon service. Ne pas y aller pour un grand choix de micros.
