Pub Wolf & Workman is widely praised for its inventive pub fare, standout pies, and well crafted cocktails, delivering a warm, cozy atmosphere that blends British pub charm with a Montreal vibe. Dishes such as the chicken pot pie and beef stroganoff pie are repeatedly highlighted as favorites, along with the scotch egg, mezze plates, and seafood pasta, while the drink program earns frequent compliments from guests. The atmosphere is described as lively yet welcoming, with rich wood, good music, and a comfortable bar area that is popular with locals and visitors alike. Service is often noted as friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, though a few visits report long waits, busy crowds, or occasional miscommunications. The venue is regularly busy, and reservations are advised, with a back terrace or courtyard cited as a standout spot in good weather. Price is mentioned as a potential drawback for drinks or some menu items, but many feel the quality, ambiance, and portion sizes justify the cost. Overall, Pub Wolf & Workman emerges as a reliable go to in Old Montreal for hearty comfort food, strong cocktails, and a vibrant pub experience that suits groups, sports fans, and brunch seekers alike.
This place is a great experience & one of the finer Pubs in Montreal. This is a must visit for locals & travelers!
The way the atmosphere hits the right pub vibe. Small, cozy, friendly, & expansive. The wood finish & the lighting gives a sense like you have been going there your whole life.
The service was very friendly, super fast, & helpful. Our waiter understood we only spoke English & that was no problem on their end.
The food was outstanding & very creative! Arancini to start is the way to go as they were tasty, creamy, & hearty. The Chicken Pot pie was super hot but it was delicious. The seafood pasta was very fresh & filling. The presentation & portion size was near perfect. The drinks were mixed to perfection. The mixology is top tier here.
The prices are above average but worth every bit.
Overall, Pub Wolf & Workman is an amazing place to have a bite to eat or watch a futball game with the regulars that go there. This is a hometown pub up & down.

Atmosphere was great, food was excellent. The scotch egg, cauliflower dish & meat pie were all exceptional. Flavors were rich but well balanced. I noticed that the support staff did most of the servers job, hopefully they are tipped out more than the industry average. Overall service was good though. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
Didn't get food this time around but typically decent food. Service was friendly but not overly quick & music was very loud for this venue - made it difficult to talk with group we were with.
My wife & I loved this place. Was parking a pain? Yes. But the person getting us a table was super friendly & accommodating. Our server was great. &... I had the best food I've eaten in my life. The Beef Stroganoff Pot Pie was amazing. They only make a few of them a day, but if you are so blessed to try it you will not be disappointed!
We arrived at the wrong time . Kitchen closes for an hour . Very friendly reception . It was a place recommended . Either full or kitchen closed . I guess we were not meant to try this place
The meat pie & the tuna tartare are phenomenal. The staff is incredibly warm! We wanted gin shot & the bar tender recommended a gin & tonic, we did not regret!!

This is one of the coziest yet most animated bars in Montreal. I really love their menu as they have something for everyone. My partner & I love to come here to watch hockey games & other sports events. Their salty pies are to die for, definitely a must try !
The food is great. The restaurant is not very friendly for individual customer. I spent considerably more time to wait for the service comparing to other tables. (I really hope that this is not because of my race) Also they ask me to leave before 6:15pm because my table was reserved, they actually don't notify me that ahead. The scotch egg & the pork are all very delicious
