Great burgers & pies...super friendly staff & a fun atmosphere...we'll be back!

We had reservation at 7pm on a Tuesday, but came a 10 minutes early.
Upon arrival, we were greeted right away. Our hostess gave us a quick tour, & proceeded to take us to our table. The ambiance is nice. The music wasn't playing too loudly, so my guest & I were still able to talk to each other without screaming at each other.
Our waitress came quickly to ask if we wanted to order drinks, & event made a recommendation for the mocktail. It didn't take long to receive our drinks, & to give our food order. As we sipped our drinks, & enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant, our entrées arrived: BRAISED PORC CROQUETTES was delicious. 3 pieces of nicely fried croquette was good on its own & didn't need the extra sauce; BURRATA & ROASTED SQUASH served with their own homemade focaccia was beautiful. It says roasted squash in the title, but in the description it was pickled, we definitely got pickled not roasted. If I let my foodie self talk, I would probably have the castel franco, chicory & endives slices more thinly to have a more delicate experience with the burrata cheese. We took a bit of time to eat our entrées because the mains came & we hadn't finished, but the staff was kind enough to grab our plates out of the way for the mains.
SLOW COOKED OX TAIL GNOCCHI had good flavors. The gnocchi were soft as they should be, there were some pieces of ox tail, & the tomato sauce was on point, not too acidic; LAMB ROGAN JOSH PIE was the big winner. The pie was quite hefty, the crust was flaky & well baked. The filling was ALL lamb, so definitely have your protein intake. It was accompanied by a goat cheese beet salad (salad of the day) & it was a perfect balance. We took the leftovers home!
The restrooms were clean, so always a plus!
All in all, the experience at this establishment is a 5 star for me. Friendly staff, clean place, great décor, lots of personality & flavorful foods. I highly recommend.

Great food, cool Old Montreal atmosphere. Scotch egg & Chicken pot pie were winners. Service was friendly & professional. Will be back.

My wife had the salad main course, was great but a bit sweet. I had the Rogan Josh Pie & that was fantastic.

Great outdoor area where the ambiance & atmosphere were excellent. The food (trout & carbonara) was ok. The trout was a nice piece of fish that was cooked well but was swimming in sauce that meant the vegetables were drowned. You needed a spoon to eat it rather than a fork!
We mentioned to our server that the food was only "ok" rather than good & she did nothing to find out why.
All in all it felt more like a fast food restaurant. Get the punters in & out as quickly as possible.

Excellent food & great service. The chicken pot pie is the best EVER!!!

Lovely terrace seating in back...food was excellent, we had the chicken pot pie which comes with a delicious salad. Large portions, but too good not to finish! Loved the Bishop Special Bitter...if you like a British pint you will enjoy this one. This restaurant was referred to us by a friend & will become a favourite of ours too when we are in Montreal.

Excellent food & service! I will certainly go back. We had the salmon gravlax, steak & fries & chicken pot pie. We ate on this lovely garden terrace but indoors was also great. The bar area was very inviting 😁
