Had a pretty fine time with a nice view over the street. Only had one drink with my friend. When we paid my friend didn't tip, she only had a drink from a slushie machine & the waitress responded aggressively sarcastic saying'that's really nice thanks' & I literally only tipped out of fear of further confrontation, she did not deserve it.View more

Quite a relief to find a place in the old port that doesn't have the usual pretentious vibe of most, if not all, of the restaurants & pubs in the Old Port have lol Just had jalapeno poppers with a couple of drinks but they were great, & not overpricedView more

Stopped in for some appys & drinks. Expensive drinks were so sugary you could not drink them. We then asked for water & never received any. Guys wanted to play pool & waitress said the pool table was taken, five mins later she was playing a game with people. The appys were dry & over cooked. The pub gives off a welcoming atmosphere. We went during the off-season, which was nice as it was not packed. Their poutine with brie & caramelized onions was amazing, & they have a good selection of drinks.View more

Confusing spot in Old Montreal. Stopped in for a drink while touring the city & couldn't figure out if I was on Bourbon Street in New Orleans or at a bar that was on the brink of closing. Granted I was there early in the evening & the wait staff mentioned it gets busy towards the late hours of the night.
The sign outside the front door says "Showbar". Asked one of the bartenders what that means, & they mentioned they haven't done any shows since COVID.
Seems like this spot might be a victim of COVID, but could be cool if they got the atmosphere inside figured out & followed through with the "experience" the signs & menus seem to portray.
Didn't get any food to be able to review that, but the menu seemed to have a lot of standard bar fare.View more
