About us
The Pub Cartier Arms includes a 130 seat restaurant, 30 person terrace, 20 person private dining room and 4500 square feet of banquets and events spaces. As well as, a 14th floor, rooftop restaurant with 360 degree views of Old Montreal, the St-Lawrence seaway, the mountain and downtown Montreal.
All the menus at the Pub Cartier Arms are executed according to three simple philosophies. British inspired, with the highest quality locally sourced ingredients, while being one of the great tables of Montreal.

I sat there for at least 15-20 minutes tonight without anyone taking a drink order or even acknowledging me. It seems I was invisible. I'm giving 3 stars for the food as I had room service last night & the breakfast buffet today & they were both pretty good.View more

The waiter must have been new- he forgot my wine, then I waited 25 min after my soup ( French onion one very burnt toast in it) was finished for my salad to arrive- the halloumi was too salty.View more

I stayed at the Hyatt Centric Montreal & this was the main restaurant in the Lobby of the hotel. If you order roll service at this hotel, the food will be coming from this restaurant. After a long day out, I decided to stop in here to grab some dinner before going up to my room for the rest of the night. I ordered the Chicken Club Sandwich & the Mac & Cheese. The sandwich was good, but the fries were very well done. Almost to the point that it was not enjoyable, I don't know if it's a Montreal thing, or it's specific to this restaurant, the fries seem to be very well done. The Mac & Cheese was quite good, it tasted freshly made & was topped with green onions which was a nice touch.View more

I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed. As a fan of the Burgundy Lion group, I was looking forward to brunch at Cartier Arms. As I live nearby, I've been to Cartier Arms a number of times for dinner & have been pleased with my experiences to date. Feedback on brunch: - Per the menu, the avocado toast was to be served on sourdough bread. It was served on rye bread out of a bag. No mention of a substitution by restaurant staff. The avo toast itself was incredibly basic. Come on guys, it wouldn't take much to make avo toast a bit more interesting. Especially at a $22 price point. - The full English breakfast. Have had it at Burgandy Lion & it's great. At Cartier Arms....the only thing that made it English was the small paper cup of beans. The menu indicated that black pudding would be included, it was not. When we inquired, the restaurant staff said they didn't have it, so they just increased the amount of the other meats. No mention of black pudding being out of stock when ordering. No tomato included with the full English, just a sea of brown. - Bloody Caesar was super watered down for $14 - Macchiato was good What happened? Cost saving measures? Total bill came to $80 for 2. There are much better brunches in Montreal for that price pointView more

Mise à jour : Notre serveur au bar a été professionnel & efficace. (Visite du 30 décembre 2023) Nous avons passé une bonne soirée, le cadre est agréable. Petite déception lors de cette nouvelle visite c'est la carte du menu qui ne met plus en avant des produits québécois. Pour le reste, la présentation des assiettes est toujours belle, la cuisson demandée a été respectée. ----- Accueil professionnel. Notre serveur a été sympathique, efficace & attentif (visite du 25 février 2023) La carte des menus est restreinte mais qui n'est pas forcément une mauvaise chose pour mieux gérer la qualité des plats qui sortent de la cuisine. (& du moment qu'elle se renouvelle régulièrement avec les saisons). Le choix est tout de même varié, possibilité de plat végétarien comme sans gluten. Bel effort également de mettre en avant le poisson du Canada ou les viandes du Québec, c'est très apprécié. Belle présentation des assiettes & bonnes portions. La cuisson des viandes commandées a été respectée. Nous avons apprécié nos plats. Nous nous sommes laissés tenté par les desserts que nous avons apprécié également. Très bons conseils également de Lambert pour la suggestion des cocktails & des verres de vin par rapport à nos goûts. Niveau ambiance : belle décoration moderne, niveau musical pas trop élevé afin de pouvoir s'entendre parler. Je ne sais pas si c'était parce que c'était un Lundi midi, mais je m'attendais à beaucoup mieux niveau nourriture, surtout pour un restaurant d'hôtel! Le repas a super bien commencé avec un excellent tartare & une excellente soupe, je me suis dit que le reste allait suivre, mais les plats principaux étaient franchement bas de gamme, à se demander ce qui était fait maison. Les desserts font aussi très industriels: malgré deux desserts différents, même déco & même crème anglaise, même si la crème anglaise ne va pas du tout avec le type de pudding servi. Un peu dommage. Au moins le prix est plus que correct, & le service au top du top, au petits soins!View more

I went there with a friend to celebrate his new job a Monday morning, the cocktails were amazing but the food was a bit ordinary for a brunch. The atmosphere & staff was very friendly & pleasant but I felt a weird vibe from the manager (a lady) towards her own staff especially towards the young lady busgirl / waitress. We had an amazing time but I don't know if I'll come back when the managers are spending their times analyzing her staff in front of the customersView more
via LibroThe experience overall was ok but not at the level of a true afternoon tea as in other places I've been to (le parloir, red cardinal, Queen E, Ritz etc). There should be a menu with a list of the teas & shirt description, the tea served was lukewarm, the choices were mediocre, when I asked to warm the tea, it was not hotter than before. The savoury & sweets were good but clearly the spotlight of the experience was not the tea. They kept the light out as well in the lounge. It was fine in the afternoon but it got dark fast & we couldn't see well what we were eating... again, it didn't have the afternoon tea experience... they lit candles & it seemed more of a lounge. It's unfortunate but if all the tea places I've been in Montreal, this was my least favourite. Maybe the experience is better at the original building
