Steak cooked to perfection & their ravioli with foie gras.. just wow! Will be going back
3rd time here & definitely not our last! Primi Piatti has become our favorite Italian spot on the South Shore of Montreal, offering authentic flavors & generous portions. The pasta is always fresh, perfectly cooked, & full of flavor, you can truly taste the quality of the ingredients. The pizza was delicious, & the tiramisu, a creative twist on the classic with a layer of crunch was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend!
Primi Piatti is a standout destination for upscale Italian dining, beloved not only by locals but by anyone seeking a refined culinary experience. The food is exceptional-elevated Italian classics with creative flair, made from the freshest ingredients & plated with elegance. The wine list is equally impressive, carefully curated to complement the menu & satisfy discerning palates. With its stylish ambiance & attentive service, Primi Piatti delivers a consistently delicious evening that feels both indulgent & welcoming.
We had high expectations but were unpleasantly surprised. The area in the back with low ceilings & curtains felt rather casual, the food was average & service was amateurish. All this would be passable for a a South Shore or Laval restaurant if prices were more reasonable. Don't waste your money - you have much better choices in Montreal. Some examples: pasta dish had such thick cream sauce that everything was sticking together in an unholy mess, the waiter brought a bottle of red wine that he presented as something very special & from the North of Italy, it ended up being very basic & from the South (if you know Italian wines, you know..), cocktail was bland & looked disgusting with brown-green muddy colour.
I have been coming to this restaurant for a decade & it never disappoints. They "recently" did a revamp with renovations & it looks even more elegant & refined. Service is attentive, wine list is extensive, food is excellent. You know you will have a good meal here. It's on the expensive side but definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in the greater Montreal area.
A more upscale Italian restaurant for a nice treat. I had the Linguine alle Capesante & it was so delicious, my mouth waters thinking about it. It's a bit expensive though, so I personally wouldn't come too often. But that's personal preference- when it comes to pasta, my husband & I prefer more authentic, trattoria-style, fresh & simple pasta. I can't deny that the quality of the ingredients here are top-notch though, so I if you want to treat yourself, I do think it's well worth it!
We were at the resto & had the set lunch menu which basically is a Western cuisine menu, nothing much close to Italian. Food... Average Service ... The waiter was alouf. The bus boy is much more pleasant. Efficient & friendly. Atmosphere ... Loud, the place is loud, not because of music or anything of that nature. It is just the reverberation of conversations of diners against the glass walls. The wine list is so, so. No fine wine to choose from.
One of the best italian restaurants I've been to! Every dish was more impressive than the other, amazing flavours & great quality of food. Amazing service from the staff, our waiter Ruben's recommendations were exactly what we were looking for. Definitely going back.
The food itself was good but the service made us feel very rushed from the second we sat down. The waiters were extremely arrogant & snobby & as we paid we were wondering where our leftovers were & the manager said "It's not our style to bring it to you, you come & get it! " We were shocked & will not return to this restaurant again, there are so many classier Italian restaurants in Montreal that serve with you kindness & respect.

Delicious Italian food & desserts, friendly atmosphere & efficient staff. The place is a bit tiny, too noisy when crowded.
