Welcome to Primi Piatti, a restaurant highly appreciated by its clientele! Being located in the small town of St-Lambert, on Montreal's South Shore, it is the best place you can think of to talk business over a nice lunch in a relaxed and rather trendy ambiance. The menu offers a variety of classics such as pasta, mixed grill and pizza. The Primi Piatti gives you the choice of 2 dining rooms and a business meeting room. For any kind of celebration, they will cater to your needs with the usual excellent service. Moreover, this restaurant is among the 500 best restaurants in Québec, chosen by the Debeur guide. By all means, the Primi Piatti is definitely your best choice!
Primi Piatti is widely praised as an upscale Italian spot on the South Shore, known for authentic flavors, generous portions and a menu that emphasizes fresh ingredients and careful technique. Dishes such as pasta with foie gras, burrata with truffle, octopus, and a tiramisu with a crunchy twist are frequently highlighted as standout offerings, while the pizza and other classics are described as well executed. The wine list and overall atmosphere are often cited as complementary to the dining experience, with a warm, elegant setting that feels refined without being stuffy. Service is repeatedly described as attentive and professional, though a few visits note lapses in timing or consistency. Some reviews point out higher prices relative to portions, while others feel the quality justifies the cost. Ambiance ranges from lively to comfortably intimate, with some mention of noise on busy nights. Overall, Primi Piatti emerges as a favorite for Italian lovers seeking refined cooking, generous dishes, and a memorable evening, with many guests eager to return and explore seasonal offerings alongside favorites.
While vacationing in Sao Miguel, I found myself out late drinking with the locals & their mayor, Marco. He mentioned that he grew up in Montreal & suggested I visit his favourite restaurant, Primi Piatti. Granted, it had been many years since he returned to Montreal, as he now preferred to raise his goats & run for city council in Sao Miguel during his twilight years. He also had far too much tequila therefore I did not know what to expect.
2 weeks later, I book a table at Primi Piatti, & I was certainly not disappointed. I was immediately welcomed by owner Justin who was incredible from beginning to end. I was especially impressed with the quality of service as the restaurant was packed & there was a table of single Québécois ladies who kept flirting with him all night trying to break his focus.
Anyways, 5 stars across the board! If this review convinces you to go to Primi Piatti, tell them Joao sent you!!! Bon appetit

They should be ashamed for serving metallic tin tasting dollar store tomatoes on a pizza for $27. Restaurant is too loud. Service is ok. The veal chop is excellent though. Only redeeming item on the menu. Everything else is mid at best

On t'adore !
I have been coming to this restaurant for a decade & it never disappoints. They "recently" did a revamp with renovations & it looks even more elegant & refined. Service is attentive, wine list is extensive, food is excellent. You know you will have a good meal here. It's on the expensive side but definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in the greater Montreal area.
