I didn't know what to expect but we had heard good things so decided to try it for my wife's birthday. We were blown away. From people who have been to Japan before, the level of freshness of the sushi was almost on par with eating it there. They did not have a ton of options (about 1 page) but every single roll we ordered did not disappoint. It was truly quality over quantity & that is completely fine. The only thing I would say could be a small improvement is for PL to slightly increase the base price for sushi night & include some szechuan dishes in there. Each dish was beyond delicious but must be ordered à la carte on top of the sushi so the bill began to bloat quickly. Especially since my wife does not eat fish so her options were limited without adding two dishes for about $20 each. The service was excellent & maintained the high quality you expect from an upscale Italian establishment. Overall, I would highly recommend Wednesday sushi at PL for those who prefer high quality mainstays like California & Dragon Eye over crazier options you could find at other places like Tenzo or Kanda.View more
Went for all you can eat Sushi on a weds evening. Was pleasantly surprised how good everything was. Only one lobster roll the table did not enjoy. Seemed off. Everything else was wonderfulView more
Went for a birthday & tried a few things: -Calamari were good -Sushi was good -Salman tartare was not good. It was borderline dry & didn't have much flavour. -Pad Thai was good -General Tao was not good. The chicken component was nice & crispy but the sauce had no flavour. None. It felt like we were eating just the chicken even though it was coated in sauce. I'm not sure how that happened. -Espresso was good. -Service was good -Portions were small.View more
I decided to try the wednesday all you can eat sushis night! I will say first the vibe & service is great! They even have a DJ. Sadly the sushis was tasteless... for an expensive famous place like this, I was expecting better food.View more
Un des meilleurs restaurants italiens de Montréal! Les sushis sont aussi exquisView more
I have been at Prima Luna a few tines & always lived it. This time I have to say I slightly disappointed at the food. It's a bit confusing overall. Are you a Italian restaurant or a Sushi bar or Chinese.View more
We went there for all you can eat sushi on Wednesday night . Staff was friendly but not the best in terms of service. Sushi was some of the worse I've ever had . I would compare it to grocery store sushi . & 35 $ for a 6 oz of hot sake is just appalling. Price wasn't on the menu . I didn't ask the price when I ordered it . Never tought it would be this much as a bottle is around 10$ . I definitely would not recommendView more
I've been to this place about 3-4 times mostly because it's close by & my friends don't eat anything but Italian food. As an Italian, I have to admit, it's good but it's certainly not as good as homemade. I'm a big sushi lover & theirs is really nothing special. Their tempura flakes remind me of Rice Krispies. The staff is friendly & the decor is nice.
