But I must say the quality & taste dropped dramatically nowadays. Most of the time they are burnt, inconsistent butter & sweetness. To my surprise, their croissants & chocolatine quality also went down significantly. Not sure what's happening but things don't taste good as before. It's very unfortunate. At first I thought it could be a one off incidnet, but recently it's happening everytime.
I had given up on most of these shops because over the years, the quality of their products had in my opinion gone downhill. Fast track to the present & because a friend told me that this location actually had better bread for some reason, I tried again. Well, after trying three breads, I'm in agreement that this location for some reason does have better bread. How bizarre. Anyhow, for now, I'm very pleased. The service was also excellent.
I arrived early on a Saturday at Premiere Moisson in Marché de l'Ouest & picked up a selection of breakfast pastries. Every single one was absolutely fantastic! The apricot twist was sublime - perfectly sweet & buttery. The chocolate & almond croissants were crispy on the outside & deliciously soft on the inside, while the Quebec pomme pastry was a delightful mix of tart & sweet. The quality here is consistently top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect breakfast treat!
PM was bought out by another company... & no surprise , the quality of many of their products have gone down. Why do new owners seem to care more about increasing profits rather than maintaining the status quo...I noticed this after ordering their Christmas pre-prepared items. Their pastry & breads are still delicious & their blueberry pie is one of the best.
Great sandwiches, quiches, pies, conserves & chocolate. A little on the pricey side of what you are getting & quality is fairly decent. Salades could be better. They taste a little dated & lack flavor.
