Overall, reviews of Poutineville depict generous portions and a wide range of poutine options, from classic to creative toppings inspired by different cuisines, with many finding the poutine tasty and comforting and the prices fair for the size. The atmosphere is described as casual and fun, with options like board games and a lively vibe that suits a quick bite or a relaxed evening. Service is frequently praised for friendliness, attentiveness and efficiency, though some visits note inconsistent experiences such as a slower or less engaged server, lukewarm poutine, or fries that were not hot. A few reviews mention smaller takeout portions or food that did not meet expectations, but many diners report positive experiences and would return, especially for the Montreal style and other signature poutines. The restaurant is also seen as family friendly with options for different tastes and dietary considerations, making it a reliable choice for groups, students or travelers looking for a big meal and a casual setting in downtown Montreal.
This place was absolutely awesome! The food was great. Especially all of the different options of poutine that they have. There is something for everyone. The draft beer was as fresh as a draft beer can be. Christina, the waitress, was an absolute 10/10 she really made the place lively & feel like home. Also, they have a Nintendo Switch 2 & you can win prizes! Overall this was the most pleasant experience I have had in Montreal on my trip BY FAR & Christina is a huge part of that!
Poutineville on Bishop is a great spot if you're craving comfort food with a twist. I went with one of their signature creations, & it was everything you want in a good poutine: crispy fries, rich gravy, & squeaky cheese curds, all loaded with generous toppings. Portions are very satisfying (come hungry!), & the staff were friendly & helpful with suggestions. The vibe is casual & relaxed-perfect for a late lunch or dinner after exploring downtown Montreal.
I have celiac, & had no reaction.
You just have to ask to make sure they use the regular sauce which is gluten free.
The pulled pork poutine was very good. There was just the right amount of cheese & gravy, & they have good portion sizes for the price.
The poutine & burgers here are delicious! I especially loved their Poutineville special. The beef melts in your mouth, seriously! I also love how cozy it is inside. Would love to be back if I ever find myself in Montreal again.
this is my go to spot for some poutine after school. It is budget student budget friendly there are games & amazing music! The staff are so friendly especially Arianne she was my waitress multiple times but honestly everyone has been so welcoming & funny as well!! I highly recommend!!

Ordered take out, the poutine size are ridiculously small for the price, beyond me why it's highly rated here. Only reason it was a ok amount is because there was a 2 for 1 deal, if this wasnt the case i would of felt scammed, tasted ok not bad but nothing special. Chicken burgers where a good size & also tasted ok. 2/5 overall dissapointing.
Loved the poutine, good homemade fries with squeaky cheese curds. They have a nice board game selection so you can hangout & play with friends while eating some good poutine!!
Overall, the food tasted good & the server was very friendly. I wish the poutine had more fries & less toppings though. Our server also took a while to give us our check, but I'd still try this place again in the future!
