Food was good. The folks working there were amazing & so nice to the kids-even played video games with them!View more
this is my go to spot for some poutine after school. It is budget student budget friendly there are games & amazing music! The staff are so friendly especially Arianne she was my waitress multiple times but honestly everyone has been so welcoming & funny as well!! I highly recommend!!View more
Loved the poutine, good homemade fries with squeaky cheese curds. They have a nice board game selection so you can hangout & play with friends while eating some good poutine!!View more
Our first experience with Poutine. I got the Quebec & my wife got the Special. Overall yummy. I would have preferred more fries & less toppings but still really filling. The restaurant had a bunch of games you could play at the table. We went with monopoly deal.View more
I enjoyed this place 👌 What a fun time over there played fews games board , eat the classic poutine the meat was good. The fall sangria was delightful . I will come back soon I can 🤞
Love this place close to home, had the "Mexican" today, a poutine that incorporate guacamole, black olives, cream fraise, & other things in line with the northern American idea of what Mexico is. Natcho plate with fries & gravy, but it's really working. The kids loves the place with the games & fun atmosphere, & I had the chance to get beaten in chess by my son before the entree arrives(he beat me fast). A place I would definitely recommend for families with kids that are +3yo.View more
Arianne is a really nice hostess. Their chef Billy makes really good poutines. You can play board games at the restaurant & they have patio seating.View more
Delicious poutine & fun card games! Our server was also very kind & welcoming. Would strongly recommend.View more
As a foreigner, one wants to know what this Poutine is all about, so I went to this place. Inside the place it does not look appealing at all. A lot of ‚Student Specials' are advertized & there is a cupboard full of board games... really, in a restaurant?! The furniture, 2 giant TV-screens with some sport channel on display & the atmosphere overall reminded me of a waiting room in a hospital or public area. Plenty of choices on the menu & the prices are very reasonable. I ordered the ‚Classic'... came quite quick. Taste-wise, I found the gravy kind of salty. The cheese is tasteless. Personally, I would not return to this place (unless you're a student & want to take advantage of their specials).View more
We found the Hangover poutine extremely salty & unfortunately couldn't continue eating after a few minutes in. The bbq wings were decent, crunchy batter with just a tad too much smoked flavor added. Great atmosphere with dark tavern vibes & even a bookcase of classic & modern boardgames & card games. Seems they treat students well too with discount promotions & they have a weekday happy hour discount 3-6pm. I wouldn't return tho because of the overwhelming saltiness in their poutine.View more
Stades at the Holiday Inn down the street. Walked over order takeout play two games of chess & had a really good meal!View more
Sorry in advance for the lengthy review: I don't know if this place was just having an off day based off of the good reviews, but our experience was not good. We ordered the caramel shakes with alcohol, the pictures & the menu are very deceiving, & we couldn't even taste the $5 shot of alcohol. They didn't seem to get the idea of a "starter" because it arrived at the same time as our main meal. Although they did arrive within 15 minutes, which was good, because we were starving. I ordered the pulled pork poutine... it was 25% corn, 25% red peppers, 50% fries, & NO pulled pork. When I finally got the server's attention, she came over, I brought up the concern nicely, & she asked "are you sure?" I said "yes, & if I could please just have a regular poutine instead as I didn't enjoy the poutine in general, it would be great" (that much topping without the main key feature of the dish kind of ruined it for me). She simply said "okay" & walked away. No apology for their kitchen staff completely skipping the pork. My partner ordered the Mexican poutine which was about 40% fries & 60% toppings. It was not an enjoyable experience, he ate it... but he did not enjoy it. We waited over 30 minutes for my 2nd poutine... you'd think that they would try & make my redo fast since my partner already had his food & I'm now left with nothing... but apparently not (they were not busy). Eventually I got up & asked if I could have my poutine to go instead. She said of course, & no problem. We left after I got the food. The redo poutine I ordered was also gross... I had maybe 5 bites before I just gave up. Very frustrating experience. My partner & I both agree, that was probably the worst poutine we've had... including McDonald's poutine, which is just gross. I definitely felt that the staff of the restaurant just didn't care because we're English speakers & not from Quebec, I know a lot of people in Quebec hate English Canadians... & it showed. Very overpriced. Honestly, the only good thing about this restaurant was their quirky atmosphere & the option to play games while we wait. We didn't play, just because that's not our thing, but it was a nice touch. I hate leaving bad reviews... but I felt this one was neededView more
We were in the mood for poutine & happened upon this spot. The serving sizes were generous, & the waitress was very friendly. We were pleasantly surprised to find board games available for us to play! It's an ideal spot for socializing with friends, whether enjoying a game while waiting for your food or having fun while dining. We definitely plan on returning to finish our game!View more
Single server & chef tried their best but the restaurant was severely understaffed. Two of our orders were wrong & food wasn't the best. Good atmosphere with board games available. A bit overpriced for the quality.View more
Food is extremely filling even with the regular size dish. Make sure to come on an empty stomach, or you will regret it. Other than that, the food is really good & has the perfect temperature, they offer board games for you to play, & the staff is friendly. The food takes an average time to get ready. The place takes a semi retro look, but there's no distinct smell or warmth to the place.View more
Large quantities & delicious cheat day meals. Also great for hangovers. The space is nice too with some board games insideView more
I came here one night on live comedy night. When I came in I was invited to join the table of comedians playing an improv game. It was welcoming as they are also an English friendly bar like Grumpy's (live music) just a couple doors down. Yes they have Xbox. I've heard that their food was VERY good. My friend recommends getting the hand mashed potatoes for one of the various options available for your choose-your-own style poutine. Next time I'm in Montreal I will for sure return & try some of their poutine on another comedy night!View more
