They note customizable bowls with bases like rice, quinoa, bulgur or greens, generous toppings, fresh ingredients, and sauces that enhance the chicken. Service is frequently praised for friendliness and efficiency, with staff who guide choices and keep lines moving during busy times. The place is seen as good value, including student discounts and late hours that suit busy students and workers alike. There are occasional critiques, such as one location having strong kitchen odors or air issues, a mix up with an order, or items being a touch salty or dry, but these do not outweigh the overall positive impression. Overall, Poulet Rouge is described as a dependable, tasty, and fast option for a flavorful meal in Montreal, with many noting generous portions and consistent quality.
A clean, lunchtime staple. Very fresh chicken, flame broiled before your very eyes & many options to add to your bowl. Always pretty packed here during peak but it's to be expected in the belly of the beast! For under $20 you can easily get 2 lunches out of it, value-tastic!
We got the mini bowl each & it was A LOT, I don't know how people can eat the full size bowl. I got the BBQ chicken, guacamole, beans, corn & cucumber with rice. My partner got the garlic chicken, guacamole, tomatoes, onions & cucumber. Both bowls were super tasty & good price / value. This is a bit like fast food so service was solid & seating was basic but if you are looking for tasty, healthy, customizable food for good price I recommend Poulet Rouge on Ste Catherine.
