The best Korean BBQ so far in Mtl. The side dishes are all amazing. Nice vibe & cool decor. We ordered 3 types of beef, rosé tteokboki, fried chicken (wow), bibimpab, rabokki, cheese gyeran, ... & the delicious dessert hotteok with ice cream (miamm). I highly recommend this place to any Korean food fan!
Absolutely a vibe! JP the manager is so cool & attentive. The team is very nice & helpful. Drinks are great, meat is fresh. I'm not into sweet cocktails so I won't recommend it but their sake & wine. This will be my next hangout for a long time! Highly recommended!!!

On a spontaneous trip to Montreal with my partner, the hostel we were staying at suggested we go through a lil stroll along Saint Catherine for a fun date night . There were tons of restaurants to choose from but Pony caught our attention ! The whole ambiance to the customer service was amazing ! The food was ALOOOT, we were suggested the Rib finger, brisket & the Belly. Paired with the banchan, & the Steamed Egg (The best one we've ever had ) the owners were also very coool ! We were taking shots of soju with them lol. Thanks for an amazing evening Pony , DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED !!
Had a great time with Pony BBQ. The space is filled with good music & lovely staff . Much recommended to experience the cuisine . Good to go with a gang of people . The whole vibe is outstanding .

I had a great experience at Pony Restaurant. The ambiance was cozy & inviting, & the service was friendly & attentive. The meat was fresh & tender, & the side dishes were delicious. I especially enjoyed the spicy kimchi & the sweet potato sides. The portions were generous & the price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Korean barbeque.
It was fun, the decor was fun & the food was good if you had enough, but the wait time was long throughout the night.
The place isn't ventilated very well so be prepared to all your clothes will smell, it's expected but it was very intense compared to other places I've been to.
The music can be very loud so you can only talk to your immediate seating partners.
We were 6, & they gave us sides that are complimentary but they gave just one of each & they're very small which isn't enough for all of us. By default bring two plates of each because we had to ask for more which isn't optimized for the waiter who's already running around & then they either forget or just takes a lot of time.
Food is a bit expensive for quantity, especially the sides or individual portions, I'm speaking for people with big appetites. I recommend the combo which is the best value for money quantity. Good amount of meat which was delicious! & two sides what were great.
Tldr; food is great but get the combo for best value. Takes time to get things. Can be overwhelming for the senses: auditory & smell
This kbbq has the atmosphere spot-on. The meat was high quality & the other dishes were all prepared with care & attention to detail. I recommend the cheese corn & the pork belly. On top of all that, JP helped make the experience 10/10 :)
Staff was helpful but the food was horrible. Got seated at 5:57pm, ordered "combo for 2" by 6:03pm. The kimchijjigae came out first 15 mins later, then the meat order came out at 6:28pm. Shouldn't the meat come out first & why did it take 25 mins Had to ask to re-heat the jjigae. Then the bits one runs out middle of grilling the meat which completely ended the flow. Staff should have checked before searing us. Perhaps I expected too much being a Korean myself. Kimchi was sweet which was disgusting, first time tasting a "kimchijjigae" that didn't taste like one. Meat portion for "combo for 2" was laughable & the quality was really bad. I would definitely not recommend to anyone & would never go back.
I gave 2 stars for concept & staff, otherwise, would have been a definite 1 star. I really hope the owner of this restaurant is not actually Korean.
The food, drinks & atmosphere was amazing. The service was also very thoughtful & me & my friends had a wonderful time. I highly definitely recommend it if you like Korean BBQs. Would have loved more vegan options for my friend but it's a bbq place so not removing any stars for that.
