The pizza is unreal. I've had good thin crust like that before, never in Montreal. They know what they're doing. Any pizza you order with nuts or pesto on it will feel like a one way ticket to Planet Miam. We love it & we love it!

Absolutely happy finding a vegan pizza spot in Montreal! The flavours are mind-blowing! This is how you do vegan food.
For 2 people we tried the le mile end, pesto vegane & roxanne in petite. Shared one lemonade. The crust was thin & rightly between crispy & soft. The chilli oil was to die for.
We were lucky to get parking as it was a weekday. Weekends, it is hopeless!
After being denied every vegan restaurant up & down Saint Denis (no reservations), we decided to go a little off the beaten path & try this cute little hole-in-the-wall pizzaria. & we're so glad we did! Both of our pizzas were piping hot from the oven, flavorful, & topped with fresh ingredients that complemented their thin-crust base. The menu is categorized by red sauce, pesto, & white sauce. You can go pure veggie with the Casanova - red sauce, veggies,'cheese', topped with fresh arugula (roquette), or do their version of a veggie'meat lovers', or order the spicy'Diablo' pizza ...if you dare. :-D. The menu is extensive enough to please most palates, without being overwhelming. The seating is basically two picnic tables, but it was very spacious for my partner & me & two other separate diners. They seem to mostly do take out orders, so the demand for sit down space isn't so intense. They have a fun mural on one of the walls featuring Lisa Simpson - also the name of one of their pizzas. When we were there, a lively selection of classic blues music was playing. The service was very friendly & helpful. They do not have a liquor license, but they do have a decent selection of soft drinks, but more options might be nice. Anyway, show this place some love & either order a small, personal-sized pizza or a large size pizza for two. Support the cruelty-free, plant-based movement, & support a small business.
The best vegan pizza in Montreal! Stopped in after a long walk & the lunch rush, it was the perfect cozy place.
Ate a slice of the pepperoni pizza while waiting for my order & it was divine. The slice was large, the crust thing & amount of melted cheese was perfect.
Then my order arrived a few minutes later & the smell was enough to take me back to an Italian villa. Le Mile End is the perfect balance of red sauce, pesto, cheese, rosted garlic & pine nuts lightly covered with spinach. For fun I added mushrooms & my brain felt like it was exploding with all the rich flavors.
My husband had an Old School Calzone & said he would have another if there was space in the tummy left.
the day was late when we first arrived in montreal. we were famished after a six hour drive, & came upon the glowing front door of pizzeria zac whilst wandering around the streets of mile end. One could not have predicted the quality of food which we were about to find ourselves masticating. now, as a pair we represent 6 (& a half) year vegan & a regular pizza consumer (non-vegan). one year & four score ago, I, the non-vegan, found myself in another continent in the country of Italy, eating pizza &/or pasta every day without failure. I can tell you with full confidence that this is one of the best pizzas you or I will ever have. For our first visit (&, yes, we couldn't help ourselves but to go back again later that week) we ordered the large size of the Aphrodite pizza under the'pesto' sauce section.'Aphrodite' couldn't be a more fitting name for such a divine slice of pizza as that was in that moment. the pesto sauce is absolutely to die for, & our mouths salivated between each bite. as for our second visit, we ordered'the mile end' & the'all dressed,' wanting to try their marinara option in addition to the pesto sauce. our second visit closed out our trip to montreal, & we savored each slice as if it were our last supper, basking in the soul/rnb music playing from the radio by the counter.
as a vegan, i've been deprived of a good pizza for 6 years, with a few exceptions. typically, the cheese is the problem, but at pizzaria zac, this is far from the case. the cheese is exceptionally cheesy (i've honestly forgotten what cheese tastes like but this cheeze is really good). it left us saying,'how have they done it?? how?'
you are absolutely foolish if you do not visit pizzaria zac whilst in mile end.
P.S. on out first visit, the couple next to us was definitely stoned, but that is not necessary in order to have a heavenly experience at Pizzaria Zac (& i'm not just saying as much because the legal age for buying weed is beyond us).
They were catering at a friend's wedding, & what a phenomenal job they've done! They had a pesto pizza, mushrooms & white sauce & all dressed. All three were absolutely delicious! It's honestly better than many other pizzerias out there in mtl & bonus points for it being vegan. The staff was super nice too. Looking forward to trying their restaurant.

What a surprise ! (Review From a None Vegan) Introduction: First, I would like to start this meticulous review, by saying that I am no way near vegan. I eat meat for a living, & living by the meat. I eat meat to survive, & meat keeps me alive. You get the picture 🥩. I never believed that vegan designs can replace the taste of meat, especially after trying a few "Vegan" dishes. However, I was always supportive of the "Real Objective" behind veganism; protecting animals. Plot : On a Thursday night, while having one of those deep intellectual 3am conservation with a friend, he suggested me to come try this "well-reviewed authentic vegan pizzeria" after I was complaining that my Pizza Pizza order was disastrously horrific (They forgot my fries, my drinks, & the pizza tasted like cardboard. No one likes to pay for "shift food" right?) I told him, I was never a big fan of veganism, but I'd give it a shot. So I decided to go to the Saturday. AS AN INTELLECTUAL PERSON, I didn't go there excepting a life-changing experience. Neither expecting to be fulled-up like a garbage bag on trash day, like I'm used to feel with fast food. I was going there with the mentality of trying a new culinary experience, a new type of food, to let myself enjoy the moment & to not compare their vegan pizza with a fat-jacked, thick-wicked, Domino's Pizza. Review : - Atmosphere (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) : 1. Family Friendly : I went there with my family (my wife & my newborn), we got welcomed with a nice vibe, between the superb music playlist (not too loud, not too low) & the vibrant handmade decoration, we sat on a CLEAN table & starting looking at the Menu. 2. Staff : We got welcomed by a lovely cashier named Jahnye, who looks imposing by his stature, but makes you feel like home. For a first time, he suggested us to try "Le Mile End"; because it was their most popular pizza. We also had the chance to meet the chef (pardon me my darling, I forgot your name), who came down to greet us regardless of her shy & introvert nature. A gesture we really appreciate. 3. Decor : The interior design is quite unique. There are a lot of hand-drawn decorations from really talented people. Music is pleasant, relaxing, & relatable ! There is a vinyl near the tables. It's a cool thing to see, but scary to touch. Tables don't shake, ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Food (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) 1. Order: Our final order was a : - "Le Mile End" (14" Grande)/ 23$ - 2 canned soft drinks / 2x2$ - Pain à l'ail (Garlic Bread) / 8$ - 2 Cinnamon Buns (Not on Menu) / 2x2$ Total : 45$ tax included + 10$ tip = 55$ This order is well enough for 2 people. Fully rounded & recommended. You have the main dish "Le Mile End", sided by a soft drink to please my diabetes, garlic bread to please my Miss, & the Cinnamon buns, because they were testing a new recipe. $55 might sound a lot, but hold on & think about it this way. Full excellent meal for $27.5 per person tax & tips included for such a good quality meal is a perfect price. If you're by yourself, you can take the "Petite Format 10" " for 14$, a soft drink for 2$ & a cinnamon bun if they have it for 2$, that's 20$ for a full meal. Cheaper than an Amir/Boustan plate (without any drink or dessert) for a better quality combo. 2. Quality : Quality is amazing, you eat in a gourmet without paying like a gourmet ! We have 3 favourites : a. Pin nuts on the pizza. It made me go back to my childhood. My mom used to cook with pin nuts. b. Cheese was really nice in the mouth. It has a special texture that I like, not too sticky & not sloppy ! c. Pesto Sauce was immaculate. My Miss & I fell in love with it. Suggestions : 1. Change your lights to be more visible 2. Create a combo special including pizza-drink-dessert bun for example (No more characters to continue my review : 5⭐ )
Some of the best vegan pizza I've ever had. I live in New York City & have tried most (or possibly all) of our well regarded vegan pizza spots & I'm not sure we have anything this good. If you're vegan or vegan adjacent definitely go here! Also I recommend their Mile End pizza which is all about pesto & pine nuts, two of the most underrated ingredients.
