Pizzeria Napoletana is located in the heart of Montreal's Little Italy at the corner of 2 quite streets, Dante and De Gaspe. At Napoletana, Pizza is an art form, with over 28 kinds of pizza made from a variety of ingredients, you can choose from artichokes to asparagus, shrimp to smoked salmon, prosciutto to smoked turkey. For diners with soul pasta in mind, try one of the over 26 kinds of Pasta dishes. Always fresh, made with the finest ingredients imported from Italy. You can choose from a light tomato and basil sauce to a rich and creamy "rosée" sauce.
Pizzeria Napoletana is a great place to bring the whole family so they can see what authentic Pizza really tastes like. The hustle and bustle will keep the kids entertained and everyone will feel part of the action.
Reviews of Pizzeria Napoletana depict a cozy, family friendly spot in Little Italy with authentic Neapolitan pizza, fresh toppings, and solid pastas at good value, plus a BYOB option next door; dining is described as warm and welcoming, and the pizza crust is repeatedly praised as thin and flavorful while some visits note strong flavors and generous toppings. Service is mostly friendly and efficient, though a few experiences mention slow, brusque, or overextended staff during peak times, and occasional inconsistencies in heat, presentation, or wine service; the atmosphere ranges from lively to intimate, with some noise on busy nights. Overall it remains a dependable go-to for casual Italian meals, attracting repeat visits and strong recommendations, despite mixed reviews on certain dishes and occasional wait times.
As many know, this restaurant was THE go-to place in Montreal for phenomenal pizza in the 1990's. Quality of their pizzas has greatly declined since then as I wouldn't recommend this place. Food, in general, is salty with no attention to detail. Their meatballs are tasteless & over-priced ($15/2). The classic entre of olive oil with balsamic vinegar must be asked for & was served to us in small plastic containers where we had to mix it ourselves. Waiters dress in sloppy shirts... & no longer dress appropriately as they take rob you from the once-authentic Italian restaurant. Disappointing overall.
Real italian taste. Excellent food & service. If you are in Montreal & you are looking for real italian food you have to visit Pizzeria Napoletana. Don't miss Ravioli Pasticciati.

My review is the review of someone who came to this restaurant for around 30 years with my Nonna initially & my dad since I was a child. The first thing I noticed after eating here twice within just a few weeks apart, the quality of the food varies greatly from one occurence to the other. Two weeks ago the food was very good & yesterday, very underwhelming (wet pizza, mooshy & tasteless pasta) & that, even if we ordered twice the exact same meals. Difficult to know what to expect: the Pizzeria Napoletana of my childhood or some generic italian pizzeria that I feel is not worth going back to? I wish I could say the former but at this time, for me the consistency is lacking to say the least. The prices have increased tremendously over the 30 or so last years but I get it, prices increase everywhere. The quality of the food should at least not be affected by any of that. Although it took a little too long for our liking to be attended to initially, the waiter we had was good & seemed to enjoy his job which we appreciated. Unfortunately, it is not something we can say about everyone in the staff that day. As if working there for a long time allows you to not care about welcoming people properly. An effort should be made to serve customers properly.. placing the forks & plates in front of each customers instead of in the middle of the table in a bunch like saying "serve yourself we're not here for that" (it's been like that for a long time though). This is gonna sound weird & I hope it's not gonna be taken in a wrong way because it's something not everyone will understand or agree with but.. I understand waiters origins have changed over time as I understand time have changed with the lack of workforce & you have to hire good waiters & not just any italian waiter just because it's an italian restaurant.. but the fact that waiters speak spanish amongst themselves is just breaking the vibe for me. Just think of an african restaurant that would have asian waiters talking their native languages between them. It would be kinda weird right? Not because spanish is closer to italian that it's less weird. The only people that would disagree probably can't tell the difference. It simply dilutes the "italian food experience" further more. Anyways, if this wasn't one of my favorite childhood memories I would propably not say a word. Simply trying to help preserve the greatness that I remember. Sorry if this offended anyone. Definitely not the goal intented.
Terrasse agréable éloigné de l'avenue à l'ombre. Serveur sympathique. Par contre déçu des pizzas. 4 fromages & funghetto. Pate Fine & croustillante la garniture n a pas vraiment de goût. Très fade. Ci c'est pour apprécier une pizza il doit y avoir mieux ailleurs.

I have been coming to this place for years, & their food has been amazing, but tonight the pizza I ordered was awfully salty. The server & the staff although nice did nothing about. I am very disappointed for a place of this caliber & reputation.

BYOB with familiar unpretentious delicious dishes & pizza. Excellent service!!! ALWAYS & from everyone. VERY organized & smooth operation. We lucked out & were seated quickly on the patio. Not always the case as it's a busy place. The icing on the cake this visit was the musical street performer playing the guitar & singing Italian classics. Perfect night ❤️🤍💚. Love it here. ALWAYS a favourite when visiting my daughter.
Delicious pizza, tastier than in other pizzerias in Montreal, pleasant atmosphere on the street veranda, good service, comfortable location of the restaurant.
