Review Summary

Pisa Panino has quickly become a standout destination in the Mile End for those seeking high-quality Italian sandwiches. Reviews consistently praise the house-made sesame bread for its fresh, crusty, and chewy texture, which serves as the perfect foundation for fresh, well-balanced ingredients like burrata, chicken cutlets, and porchetta. The atmosphere is frequently described as cozy and welcoming, featuring a retro vibe and friendly, efficient staff that enhances the overall dining experience. While some note that the portions are smaller compared to other local spots, many feel the reasonable pricing and exceptional flavor profiles provide excellent value. Although a few experiences mentioned issues with ingredient distribution or soggy packaging, the overwhelming consensus highlights the restaurant as a genuine, must-try gem for anyone craving authentic and delicious sandwiches in Montreal.

This place is impressively designed, it looks fabulous. Bit of a cafe-like atmosphere. The menu is small but sufficient. I went for the Cotaletta (I think that's what it was called) - the chicken cutlet sandwich. I was expecting a traditional style Italian panini but was delighted to see some fusion as it bore some inspiration from southern American flavours with the sauce & the type of breading on the cutlet. The bread was perfect for a sandwich like this too. For a quality sandwich of this level, the price point is acceptable. The service was great too.

Best sandwich in the city, Classico was unbelievable!!! I've never had a bread this good in my life. If you're in the area you have to try it.

The bread is very good & made on site. Nice people, a generous portion of meat on the porketta sandwich with calabrese peppers.

New sandwich place in the mile end! They make all their sesame bread fresh the morning of, they have two sandwiches that are warm & two that are cold with one cold vegetarian option. I'd say they are a good size for the prize & the ingredients are fresh & tasty. I got the cotoletta to share & I really enjoyed it. Crunchy bread & a nice slaw mixture that pairs well with the generous portion of chicken. The decor is also very nice & there's lots of seating! Service is fast but if there's a lineup, be prepared to wait a bit.

Really really good sandwhich. Not the best I've had but it's up there for sure. Not to throw too much shades but I think it's much better than the other nearby option. Salt levels combined with the fresh letuce & the spiciness & acidity of the peppers make it a delicious sandwhich. They make only 4 sandwhiches, which I like. Means I can easily try the entire menu :P

The one thing that would push it to great for me would be for the inside of the bread to be lightly toasted. But I understand with the volume & space they have, it wouldn't necessarily be feasible or praticable to do so.

The sandwiches are a little smaller, but they are also a little cheaper. I had half for lunch & I was satiated. I got the classico.

Delicious sandwiches, however in my opinion, nothing out of the ordinary. The bread was solid, the ingredients were fresh, however a little small on comparison to other sandwich shops in town. Nothing really blew me away or was outright special about what we tried (Caprese & Classic).

Still worth it if you're craving something fresh in the area.

Chicken cutlet sandwich was fantastic even delivered. It was not soggy from too much sauce & perfectly proportioned. Pleasant textural medley & an even better bread than Bossa, my normal go-to. These are fantastic sandwiches, can't wait to try out the rest of the menu!

The chicken sandwich goes hard. If you like sesame then you'll love the bread, but if you don't you might find it overpowering. I loved it.
