Excellent in every way: the fresh & delicious food, the friendly & efficient waitress Elodie & the atmosphere is spot on!Voir plus
Love this place. Bernice helped us get a great little table for people watching (she was so nice) & the servers arranged for us to get some fresh shucked oysters. Big fans!Voir plus
Oysters & Lobster Roll were absolutely delicious!Voir plus
Had an absolute amazing time with my boyfriend here! Food was very delicious. We came for the lobster roll & we were not dissapointed. Everything was so good. The server, an asian guy with tattoos, was super nice & sweet.
Btw, just wanted to add that people who write reviews like'the server should fight the homeless man for smoking next to the patio' need to go check their mental health. Servers should take care of your drinks & food. As a european myself I am so shocked by the way some people expect the server to be their mom, dad & bodyguard. Chill.
Love the place, love our server, love the food! ❤?❤?❤?Voir plus
As a local, I'm often cautious about restaurants in the Old Port. They tend to be overpriced for the quality, some touristy traps. Pincette was a refreshing great choice in the area.
The staff was nice & accommodating. We arrived a bit early for our indoor reservation & they offered us a table on the terrace for some pre-dinner drinks which was lovely. The cocktails were delicious.
Our server was friendly, attentive & did a great job at walking us through the menu. we ended up getting the lobster, which was the reason why we were there. To our surprise, the price was quite reasonable, considering it's lobster in a very popular area. We swapped the fries for veggies, which turned out to be an excellent choice. They came with a great sauce on the side. I found the salad fresh & flavourful & the whole dish was nicely portioned. The lobster itself was delicious, despite the work I had to do to get the good stuff out (that's on me 🥲).
I can't speak for any other dish, but overall the lobster was an enjoyable experience. I left feeling pleasantly surprised. I'd definitely recommend Pincette if you're in the mood for a good lobster dinner in the Old Port.Voir plus

Food is absolutely terrible & pricey for how poor the quality is. The oysters were not fresh, the lobster was tiny, & the lobster rolls was dry & cold. The roll was not buttered or toasted. I will never come again & unless you want to pay for terrible food, I would say don't come here.Voir plus
It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The place is very busy on weekends, which I usually take as a good sign. However, the food I was served wasn't tasty, even though it looked quite vibrant. The risotto lacked salt entirely, & the escalope was swimming in a broth with a very strange flavor.
The staff were wonderful & professional. Before serving the wine, they offered me a taste, & when I declined, they brought me a different one to try. I felt uncomfortable refusing repeatedly, so I eventually accepted the next offer. Unfortunately, the wine tasted very diluted - almost as if water had been added - & it had an unpleasant, overly alcoholic aftertaste.
The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, but the summer terrace is furnished with metal tables that wobble & uncomfortable chairs.
They served hot glasses, which I usually take as a positive sign, since it suggests the glasses aren't being hand-washed. But pouring cold water into a hot glass felt counterproductive, especially when your guest is trying to cool down in the summer heat.Voir plus
Service was ordinary, noisy, quality not meeting the prices. Not going backVoir plus
On a nice evening night eating on the terrasse the delicious food they prepare is magical. The surroundings of the old buildings makes it extra specialVoir plus
Great food & service. Anto the bartender was amazing, as well as David our server made the experience unforgettable.Voir plus
We dined at Pincette on our last night in Montréal for the F1 Weekend, & I haven't stopped thinking about it since. The ambience was cozy yet elegant, & the food - Absolutely divine.
We started with a half-dozen oysters-so fresh & flavorful that we immediately ordered another round. The seared scallops were cooked to perfection, & the lobster risotto was a standout: rich, complex, & crowned with two generous lobster tails. Every bite was a celebration in my mouth.
But what truly elevated the evening was our server, Max. He struck the perfect balance of friendly & professional, & gave us a stellar wine recommendation that paired beautifully with our meal. His knowledge & warmth made us feel so well taken care of-he was the star of the night.
Can't wait to return. If you're in Old Montréal, Pincette is a must.Voir plus
Absolutely wonderful experience. I'm from Cape Cod & picky about seafood & this was one of the best fish & chips I've ever had, & that includes London! The fish was perfectly cooked, the batter was light, fluffy, & crispy, & the perfectly dressed salad was the ideal accompaniment. The fries could have been a bit crispier but that's a nitpick. Service was warm & friendly, attentive but not overbearing. If you're on a budget & want to experience this lovely restaurant: go for lunch & split something from the set menu. The fish & chips was more than enough for two & reasonably priced (for Montreal) at 27 CAD which included a starter & an entree. Excellent people-watching from a window seat & just a fantastic experience all around. Merci à tous!Voir plus
4.5/5 Stars for Pincette in Old Montreal
Visited Pincette for lunch on Saturday during the Formula One weekend in June 2025, & it was a delightful experience. Seated quickly on the patio, it's a prime spot for people-watching in the heart of Old Montreal. The vibe was lively yet relaxed, perfect for soaking in the bustling atmosphere.
I ordered the burger with foie gras aïoli-absolutely perfect! The flavors were rich, the patty juicy, & the aïoli added a luxurious touch. Paired it with a Bloody Mary, which was spot-on, with just the right kick. My only gripe? The oyster man hadn't arrived yet (it was early afternoon), so oysters weren't available, which was a bit disappointing.
Overall, Pincette nails the ambiance & food. Highly recommend for a chic lunch in Old Montreal, just double-check oyster availability if that's your thing!Voir plus
Nice place especially for lobster & oyster lovers. But the reason that makes you love this place is their service quality. One really likes the good service & atmosphere in there.Voir plus
