a good place to dine in old montreal!
food & service was good. seafood platter served was delcious & fresh. although the portion couldve been larger.
biggest disappointment was the dessert. they only had 3 items & the one we ordered waz thjs deconstructed lemon tart (basically they were too lazy or incapable of making the tart so they called it deconstructed). it was just the cream & the mouse plus some bread crumbs.
I was quite disappointed with my visit. The lobster risotto was overly salty, & I didn't find the lobster to be fresh-it tasted like it was frozen. One of the potatoes in the dish I ordered was moldy. The other shellfish & seafood also tasted like frozen products. On top of that, the service was very poor. For a restaurant rated 4.4 stars, this experience fell far below my expectations.
My husband & I ordered the clam chowder , the seafood inside were not fresh... very disappointing 😞
My nephew ordered lobster roll & one oyster were fresh , thanks God.
This place was amazing. Accidentally made a reservation for the night after we were there & they found a table for us anyway & could not have been more cool about it. All of the food was super fresh & expertly prepared.
Not a must try, but if you are looking for a yummy lobster roll & in the area, it's a great spot. Fresh salad, delicious fries, & solid lobster roll. Service was fast & the staff was really nice. Good place to sit outside & people watch.
The service was outstanding, welcoming, knowledgeable & genuinely enthusiastic. Now, let's talk about the food. The grilled lobster was well cooked, with a smoky char that elevated the sweet, tender meat. The lobster roll was equally good, packed with huge chunks of fresh lobster & just the right amount of dressing. Prices are okay for a tourist spot in Montreal.
food is pretty good for the price!! all the ingredients, especially seafood were super fresh. the dinner/main course menu is more expensive, but the options look really good. great location & friendly staff!
We were here visiting on holiday - the atmosphere, staff & space were all so welcoming & we enjoyed a lovely meal. I can highly recommend the Fish & Chips - freshly cooked & crisp! Would 100% return here again. Thank you!!

Love this place. Bernice helped us get a great little table for people watching (she was so nice) & the servers arranged for us to get some fresh shucked oysters. Big fans!
As a local, I'm often cautious about restaurants in the Old Port. They tend to be overpriced for the quality, some touristy traps. Pincette was a refreshing great choice in the area.
The staff was nice & accommodating. We arrived a bit early for our indoor reservation & they offered us a table on the terrace for some pre-dinner drinks which was lovely. The cocktails were delicious.
Our server was friendly, attentive & did a great job at walking us through the menu. we ended up getting the lobster, which was the reason why we were there. To our surprise, the price was quite reasonable, considering it's lobster in a very popular area. We swapped the fries for veggies, which turned out to be an excellent choice. They came with a great sauce on the side. I found the salad fresh & flavourful & the whole dish was nicely portioned. The lobster itself was delicious, despite the work I had to do to get the good stuff out (that's on me 🥲).
I can't speak for any other dish, but overall the lobster was an enjoyable experience. I left feeling pleasantly surprised. I'd definitely recommend Pincette if you're in the mood for a good lobster dinner in the Old Port.
Food is absolutely terrible & pricey for how poor the quality is. The oysters were not fresh, the lobster was tiny, & the lobster rolls was dry & cold. The roll was not buttered or toasted. I will never come again & unless you want to pay for terrible food, I would say don't come here.

We dined at Pincette on our last night in Montréal for the F1 Weekend, & I haven't stopped thinking about it since. The ambience was cozy yet elegant, & the food - Absolutely divine.
We started with a half-dozen oysters-so fresh & flavorful that we immediately ordered another round. The seared scallops were cooked to perfection, & the lobster risotto was a standout: rich, complex, & crowned with two generous lobster tails. Every bite was a celebration in my mouth.
But what truly elevated the evening was our server, Max. He struck the perfect balance of friendly & professional, & gave us a stellar wine recommendation that paired beautifully with our meal. His knowledge & warmth made us feel so well taken care of-he was the star of the night.
Can't wait to return. If you're in Old Montréal, Pincette is a must.
What a fantastic first experience! my friends & I enjoyed a truly delicious dinner.
We started with oysters from PEI, really fresh. We then shared the grilled octopus & fried cod, the octopus was a personal favourite of mine.
We all shared mains, lobster roll, lobster ravioli & lobster with risotto. All were super tasty & really hit the spot, the lobster roll was wonderfully seasoned & had a generous serving of meat, the fries were nice & crispy.
Our experience would not have been the same without our wonderful servers, David & Vanna, they were so friendly & hospitable, they really set the bar for proper service. Thanks again for a great first experience at Pincette.
I'm glad we chose this spot while we were in the Old Town. We had a lovely window-side table, which added charm to the experience with a view of the streets. The lobster dishes were fantastic - fresh, perfectly cooked, & full of flavor. The lobster roll was creamy & satisfying, while the grilled lobster paired with crispy fries was a delight. The ambiance was cozy, & the service was warm & attentive. Highly recommend for seafood lovers visiting Old Montreal!
Ambiance & decor is thematic warm & charming. Super friendly service. The food was good. We expected better though. Was a bit disappointed that my lobster was borderline fresh. Tasted like it got washed. Half of it had a bit of a mush texture. I would have returned it but we were on a time crunch & had other engagements later that Saturday night. My daughter, a also a fan of lobster had the raviolis. They were just ok. They tasted more like seafood than lobster. The filling did not have much lobster flesh texture. However the bisque did elevate the dish. I would return but only during lobster season. We will give this place a second chance. Other than that, their scallop ceviche was delicious & their arancini were perfectly textured.
