My friends & I made a reservation about an hour in advance since the restaurant is usually fully booked. We had an enjoyable evening. The staff were attentive & super helpful throughout. I especially enjoyed the lobster pappardelle (pappardelles au homard). It was rich in flavor without being too salty, & the lobster tail was perfectly tender. Overall, I absolutely loved the atmosphere of the place! C'était vraiment un endroit charmant👏👏
Éloïse was incredibly kind & attentive.
The restaurant was not too crowded, & the waiting time after ordering was short, which made the experience very pleasant.
Both the lobster & the oysters were delicious.
Overall, I was very satisfied with the service & the food.

Beautiful place but it left a lot to be desired. Staff was attentive. The only beers I wanted they had ran out of, went for Oysters but they were only available after 5. To be fair I did go on a Monday. Clam chowder was good, the lobster roll was drowned out by the dressings thay put on it -

As a local, I'm often cautious about restaurants in the Old Port. They tend to be overpriced for the quality, some touristy traps. Pincette was a refreshing great choice in the area.
The staff was nice & accommodating. We arrived a bit early for our indoor reservation & they offered us a table on the terrace for some pre-dinner drinks which was lovely. The cocktails were delicious.
Our server was friendly, attentive & did a great job at walking us through the menu. we ended up getting the lobster, which was the reason why we were there. To our surprise, the price was quite reasonable, considering it's lobster in a very popular area. We swapped the fries for veggies, which turned out to be an excellent choice. They came with a great sauce on the side. I found the salad fresh & flavourful & the whole dish was nicely portioned. The lobster itself was delicious, despite the work I had to do to get the good stuff out (that's on me 🥲).
I can't speak for any other dish, but overall the lobster was an enjoyable experience. I left feeling pleasantly surprised. I'd definitely recommend Pincette if you're in the mood for a good lobster dinner in the Old Port.
Absolutely wonderful experience. I'm from Cape Cod & picky about seafood & this was one of the best fish & chips I've ever had, & that includes London! The fish was perfectly cooked, the batter was light, fluffy, & crispy, & the perfectly dressed salad was the ideal accompaniment. The fries could have been a bit crispier but that's a nitpick. Service was warm & friendly, attentive but not overbearing. If you're on a budget & want to experience this lovely restaurant: go for lunch & split something from the set menu. The fish & chips was more than enough for two & reasonably priced (for Montreal) at 27 CAD which included a starter & an entree. Excellent people-watching from a window seat & just a fantastic experience all around. Merci à tous!
Impeccable seafood options & impressive service! In particular, the octopus was cooked perfectly & the scallops were super tender - melt-in-your-mouth levels of delectability. The staff were very attentive & graciously made suggestions for our dishes. Food was served in a timely manner as well. Great restaurant for a special occasion or fancy meal with family & friends.
We had a great time at Pincette. The service staff was friendly & attentive, while the food itself was delicious. In fact, my husband has never been a fan of oysters & hadn't had one in years, but after some encouragement to try them at Pincette, he said they were the best he'd ever had! The quality of the oysters here encouraged him to try them at other places around Montreal. Also, the lobster ravioli were our favorite, while the lobster tail risotto was expertly done. Sometimes, risotto can be a little unbalanced in the preparation, but we were honestly impressed by how well it turned out. We sat next to the window, which allowed for fantastic people watching as we enjoyed our meals & cocktail. Overall, we booked a reservation here on a whim just a few days before our trip but we're glad we did. We are certain you'll enjoy Pincette as much as we did!

I had an incredible experience at Pincette! The food was absolutely delicious, every dish was perfectly prepared & bursting with flavor. The lobster was especially memorable, cooked to perfection & beautifully presented.
What truly set the evening apart, though, was the outstanding service. The staff was warm, attentive, & genuinely welcoming from start to finish. They made sure every detail was taken care of & made us feel right at home.
If you're looking for a top-tier dining experience, Pincette is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

The service was great, everyone was very kind & attentive but unfortunately, the food wasn't what we were expecting, I do believe that it's a matter of taste but it just wasn't my cup of tea, the risotto was okay, there was a strong cheese flavor that I personally found too overwhelming for the subtle lobster bits, the peas were not soft so that was weird too, my grilled lobster was rather dry & quite small, the fries that come with it are very underwhelming, not crispy, just bland, the salad was dripping with dressing but still not something that I find good enough to justify the price of the plate, on the bright side, the octopus entree was cook to perfection. I have had lobster many times before & this is just not it.
Visited Montreal for the first time, & this was a really nice place to stop by for lunch. Had lobster poutine & a lobster roll with my mother-- they were amazing after a day of walking around the old Montreal.
Our server, Marie was very caring & helped us with the menu because we weren't good with French. She was exceptionally attentive & helpful! Merci! Thank you for making our visit memorable.

Pincette - Bar a Homard is a rather casual restaurant with a sea motif that is subtle & not excessive. As they were part of the'Happening Gourmand' Program in March they offered a reasonable fixed price menu. For appetizer we tried the scallop ceviche which though a little spare was well prepared. We also had the clam chowder which was one of the better chowders that I have tasted. Afterward we had a very tender sirloin steak in a shallot sauce & the lobster linguini which were both well prepared & a pleasure to eat. We were served by Loik & Vana who were very attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend Pincette on your next trip to Old Montreal.
An amazing experience at Pincette! We ordered the soup of the day & the fish & chips which were recommended by our waiter Luca. Shanille & Luca were very attentive & kind!
I'm glad we chose this spot while we were in the Old Town. We had a lovely window-side table, which added charm to the experience with a view of the streets. The lobster dishes were fantastic - fresh, perfectly cooked, & full of flavor. The lobster roll was creamy & satisfying, while the grilled lobster paired with crispy fries was a delight. The ambiance was cozy, & the service was warm & attentive. Highly recommend for seafood lovers visiting Old Montreal!
The food & restaurant were fantastic! Shanie is amazing & was very attentive during our meal experience. They heard we had a long day of travel & provided us with a complimentary appetizer! We loved the food, drinks, & would be happy to dine here again

We had lobster rolls & a burger. The food was excellent. Everything was fresh & delicious. Tommy was an excellent server. He was very attentive & friendly. The air conditioning was a bonus.
