The food was delicious & service was good. I had the merguez shakshuka at the recommendation of the server & it was fantastic, just spicy enough, the pine nuts & pomegranate were fresh & had a nice crunch, the tahini was very flavorful, the egg yolks were moderately runny which is perfect for shakshuka, & the stewed tomatoes were fresh & bright tasting. Overall the ingredients were very good quality & preparation was very good. 8/10 I also had an Americano, which was decent, about 7/10, although it had a slight burnt taste. Contra other reviews, service was very good for my Monday lunch. A hostess noticed me with 10 seconds, walked over, & seated me. She seemed busy, so after I put my menu down to show I was ready, I made eye contact with the bartender/barista & he jumped in to take my food & drink order. Every server was friendly & helpful. The food was just the right portion & the price was what I expect for the very central & busy location & chic, vibey interior. I am a pretty tough reviewer, but I think this place deserves a solid 4.1, 4.2.Voir plus

A Hidden Gem in Downtown Montreal! Pigeon Café on McGill College is a fantastic spot in the heart of downtown. With its stylish decor, friendly staff, & diverse menu, it's a place worth checking out. I've visited twice-once when it had just opened, enjoying its lovely summer terrace, & again on January 26th 2025, when I tried a delicious slice of Antoine's apple pie. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend stopping by & discovering it for yourself!Voir plus

Ambiance sympathique & le nom avait l'air d'être de la psychologie inversée. En fait non, il porte bien son nom: un bagel au saumon fumé avec si peu de sauce que ne pas en avoir aurait été préférable, & quand nous en avons demandé ils ont proposé un extra (la sauce hollandaise ne recouvrait même pas l'oeuf en entier). Une coquille d'oeuf a été retrouvée dans un plat (un bon morceau), heureusement le service a souhaité se faire pardonner & a offert un biscuit, très bon au demeurant. Je ne recommande pas sauf si la cuisine & le patron décident d'arrêter de pigeonner les Clients sous prétexte qu'ils sont bien placés & que les gens qui viennent ont de l'argent.Voir plus

Not bad. Down to go back. Had a cappuccino & the shakshuka. Cappuccino came in at a 6/10. Shakshuka wasn't bad but felt like it was missing some zing. My yolks were overdone as well so I was bummed about that. Service ok. Ambiance cute. Down to go back & try other things.Voir plus
