I recommend getting anything that have foie gras. Their pork tenderloin was really good, & the foie gras with the truffle butter was amazing.
Came here for a birthday dinner. Experience was complete ruined after I mentioned I had nut allergies & there was nuts in my food. I told the waitress & the manager to take my plate away as I was having an allergic reaction, they then took it away & 30 seconds later they brought it back & put it back in my face insisting I'm lying & word for word said as my throat is closing'are you sure its not because you dont like the food'. They have like 3 main menu items full of nuts so this says a lot about the cleanliness in the kitchen. In the end I asked for something to eat to at least not have an em'ty stomach & they brought some tomato dish with an absolutely disgusting amount of salt. I'm not even sure how that's possible but I can only imagine it was done on purpose. I later had to pay the bill in full excluding only the plate with nuts. The rest of the experience was ruined for me already though.
The food was amazing, the service was friendly & attentive, the place is a bit noisy but pleasant.
Not bad. Only 3 little pieces of foie gras on the poutine. Gravy is made of foie gras but tastes pretty generic. Duck tartare nori was very salty but still enjoyable.
This was, without a doubt, our favorite restaurant in Montreal. From the moment we arrived, we loved the atmosphere-warm, welcoming, & with a cozy, family-like feel that immediately made us feel at home.
The service was exceptional. Everyone on the staff was attentive & friendly throughout the entire experience, but we would especially like to thank Morgan, who took incredible care of us. We decided to try something different & asked her to choose everything for us, from the appetizer all the way to dessert, without telling us what dishes would be coming to the table. It made the experience even more special & exciting.
Every dish that arrived was a surprise. Not only was the presentation impeccable, but the flavors were outstanding. Honestly, it was one of the best meals we've had in a very long time.
A huge thank you to Morgan & the entire team for making our evening so memorable. We will definitely be back whenever we return to Montreal.
I'm not sure what the hype is all about. Anthony Bourdain made this place popular so they have benefitted from the publicity but paying $61+tax+tip for a large piece of fat in a can along with liquid grease & some duck breast, foie gras was a bit much. It was not tasty. Plus they forgot our order so we waited 75 minutes before we got our appetizer & 90 minutes before we got our main dish (duck in a can). The flavoured sour beer & cider were excellent though.
Absolutely fantastic food, though so decadent! Share the starters because you'll want some of all of them! If you're looking for vegetarian options, this is not the place for you unfortunately.
