Vancouver foodie here. I'll list what I had below. Truly a memorable experience & an iconic restaurant that encompasses the Montreal food scene.

Definitely need reservations to enter. The place was packed the whole time we were there. I was anticipating an incredible meal from all the great reviews. Making a reservation on their site was easy. Yet, we
were confused as to why a couple with a later reservation (who arrived early) was seated before us even though we were on time & there before them. But overall, the staff was friendly, so we chalked it up to a misunderstanding.
The menu is limited, but I appreciate the focus. They know what they do well & aren't afraid of perfecting it.
We ordered the fraisier cocktail (vodka with aperol & strawberry sorbet on top) & the Mexican mojito (got a kick in the bottom of your throat spicy). Both really good & they didn't skimp on the
alcohol. I was very giddy by the time they brought the foie gras nigiri. This is why I wanted to eat here & am so glad they keep it on the menu!
One order $29 comes with 4 spoon servings, by the way.
Add the soy ginger sauce like they suggest because it cuts the fattiness iust right. Perfection.
Oh là là! Decadent, smooth & buttery. Why don't more places serve foie gras like this? Genius!
We also ordered the pork chop, paparadelle pork ragù & a
side of the salt & maple sugar fries. All were good, but the foie gras still had them beat. The fries had nice flavor, but we were really disappointed because it seemed like we got the tail end of the fry
basket. The bottom & middle of our paper cone contained all the broken bits. I felt a bit deceived.
We got the pudding chomeur that people said was a classic staple. It was basically cake batter swimming in maple sugar syrup. It was sickly sweet. If sweet sweet desserts is your preference, get the pudding.
I'm glad we got to try the pudding, but I regretted not ordering a second order of the foie gras instead to end the night.
I would come back for the cocktails & the foie gras & maybe the foie gras poutine.
The chairs are extremely comfortable; the rest you'll have to experience firsthand

Encore une superbe soirée, un service parfait, un équipe attentionnée. Côté repas, toujours surprenant, excellent & ce de l'entrée au dessert. Ambiance chaleureuse.
Je tenais à ajouter un petit mot pour souligner le travail fantastique de Charlotte, la maître d'hôtel. Au milieu du tourbillon du restaurant, elle a su nous accorder une attention qui nous a touchés. C'est rare de voir une telle maîtrise alliée à autant de gentillesse. Merci encore à elle & à la brigade du Pied de Cochon !!!
Une expérience absolument inoubliable, un véritable coup de coeur. Le service est très attentionné & les repas étaient tous parfait, tout est réfléchi & les saveurs sont incomparables.
Je tiens à souligner que notre expérience fut exceptionnelle & mémorable grâce à Charlotte, elle a su créer un lien chaleureux grâce à sa présence, ses discussions & son énergie qui fait que cette expérience sera gravé dans nos mémoires! Milles mercis!
So we booked this as a place to celebrate my bestie birthday, & it was ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. The Host was super friendly & warm, all of the servers was very niceeeee. Their hospitality was top notch & they treated us very warmly. I really love the food & the service here. 🫶🏻❤? Definitely coming back & recommending this place.!!!!

Très belle expérience!! Sans reservation, nous avons été accueilli comme de la famille, nous n'avons jamais vécu ça!! Assis devant le mixologue, il nous a fait des mocktails'to die for' & nous a fait de très bonnes suggestions!! Tout simplement DÉLICIEUX!!! Merci!!!
I visited Au Pied de Cochon earlier this month while traveling in Montreal, & I still find myself thinking about what an incredible dinner it was. Even we had some issues, without a doubt we would come back.
It was a very special evening with a multi course tasting menu, as they had a guest chef in residence. The whole experience felt unique & thoughtfully curated, something you truly cannot easily find elsewhere.
The night started in an unexpected way. A perfumer came to our table & presented a warm tin, & inside there was a towel infused with an absolutely beautiful fragrance. I never thought I would be praising a scented towel as part of a dining experience, but it was unforgettable & something we still talk about today
The dishes themselves were delicious & very generous. It felt like the portions had not been perfectly calibrated for this special menu, & there was a lot of food. Our favorite dishes were definitely the pasta courses. I do not have photos of everything, but I am sharing the ones I could find on my phone.
Service had a few hiccups throughout the evening. At times, it felt like we were forgotten. Guests who arrived after us were served much earlier, & at one point we waited around 30 minutes with nothing arriving at the table. We also ordered cocktails that were recommended by our server, but they never came. However, once we brought this up, the team handled it very well. They apologized, brought the missing drinks & offered them on the house. The staff was genuinely attentive in resolving the situation, which we really appreciated.
Even though the experience was not perfect, the way they handled the issues made a big difference. I highly recommend it for a special occasion. It is definitely on the pricier side, but it offers something truly unique. & if they ever repeat this kind of guest chef experience, do not miss it. It is also important to make a reservation in advance

J'ai trouvé la cuisine, l'ambiance & le service à la hauteur de sa réputation, assurément, j'y retournerai
On a réservé une table, le serveur était super agréable & a le temps de nous expliquer le menu tout en faisant attention à l'allergène d'arachide. La nourriture était excellente & originale. Nous sommes satisfaits de notre soirée.

J'ai vécu une expérience absolument mémorable au Pied de Cochon. Malgré un fort achalandage, certains plats que nous souhaitions n'étaient plus disponibles au départ. Toutefois, l'équipe a tout mis en oeuvre pour nous accommoder & a finalement réussi à nous offrir exactement ce que nous voulions.
Arthur a été un serveur exceptionnel : attentionné, professionnel & réellement engagé à rendre notre soirée agréable. Le chef ainsi que toute l'équipe étaient impeccables.
Nous avons passé une excellente soirée & je recommande ce restaurant mille fois.
This is the place we always come back twice a year while we visit mtl. This time we a bit disappointed. The food is always excellent, tasty, good portion, elegant display. But this time is not only lack of service but also the arrogant cold attitude from the manager. We figure maybe you are tried to serve too much Asians. But your menu has so much Asia influence dish. You got a lot good reviews & I hope we are the only table on Thursday being treated in the cold service in the snowing day. Farewell, au pied de cochon!
