Piazza Salumi fumagalli is a recent addition to Montreal's Little Italy and is located in its very heart. Specializing in cold cuts, cheese and other Italian specialty products, we also make awesome panini and pizza which you can take out or eat in.
Piazza Salumi is described as a standout Italian market and sandwich shop in Montreal, offering a wide range of gluten free options, top quality meats, and fresh bread that elevate mortadella and prosciutto subs. Staff are repeatedly praised for warmth and helpfulness, contributing to a friendly small business vibe. The in store counter and shelves feature pizza, arancini, focaccia sandwiches and a broad selection of pastas, sauces, and pantry items. Prices are sometimes noted as a bit high, but the freshness, bread quality and meat quality are cited as making it worthwhile. Overall, reviews place Piazza Salumi among the best Italian specialty spots in Montreal for variety, authenticity and dependable customer service.
I love coming to this part of town to shop for Italian ingredients - the smells, the markets, the rhythm of it all. BUT what I love most is what comes after: stopping here for a sandwich.
Have the first half. Then take a break. Call your mom. Return a few messages. Give it at least 10 minutes.
Then come back to that second half.
It's like a complete reset.
I came here on a snowy day off because I was reminiscing, feeling emotional, & wow what a great spot to have spent my time in & to just relax. The cold cuts are amazing, the service is homely pure Italian as it gets (I got soup on the house, thank you!!), the pizza was delicious too. Though, my chicken parmigiana could've been warmer but it was still nice. They have great selections of spices, olive oils, Italian sweets, you will truly feel an Italian embrace in here.
A well kept gem for sandwiches, the ham focaccia all dressed is sooo good. The giardiniera cheese, mayo combo hits the spot. if you are getting hungry while running errands in Little Italy, go there. Great olives selection as well.
Personnel gentil. Des produits ordinaires pour un marché italien. Les prix sont un peu gonflés, parfois exagérés. L'ambiance est comme dans un vrai marché genre entrepôt.
I've tried most of panini/sandwich spots in this city. Bang for buck, quality of bread, quality of cold cuts, verdure freshness. These guys win. I tried a mortadella sub & a prosciutto sub & they were both incredible. I'll be back to try the other goods & will update this post with a pic. Keep up the great work.
Would give this more stars if possible. Pizza & sandwiches are all amazing. Walked here after some time at the market. Worth it!!! If you're close by it is worth the stop.
I like to stop here for their FRESH pizza & arancini. I love this place because of its quality & small business charm.
If you go at lunch there can be a wait, but thats because the service is focused on quality 100%. Everyone from the deli lady to the pizza/sandwich guys to the cashiers are so friendly i always shop here over big chain stores!

Amazing focaccia sandwiches!! They dress it up, add some spice, it's incredible. The bread is crispy. Our favorite sandwich place by far! We even batch ordered for our baby shower & everything was perfect :)
