Ouvert en 1971 par Giuseppe Lenti, Piazza Romana fut a l'origine un restaurant tres petit pouvant acceuillir selement 32 personnes. Ce dernier a ete joint plus tards par son frere, Sestino Odoardi et par la suite en 1988, son epouse, Maria prennait la releve du restaurant. En moins de cinq ans, le restaurant avail prit de l'expantion et il est devenue un des meilleurs restaurant de fine cuisine italienne. En fait, le Helen Rochester de la gazette l'a range parmi les 20 principaux restaurants. Bien que le restaurant a grandi au file du temps, la famile d"Odoardi continue d'offrir une ambiance chaleureuse qui est typique de la facon traditionnelle italienne.
Les avis sur Piazza Romana dessinent globalement une cuisine italienne de bonne facture, avec des pizzas et des gnocchis très appréciés, des plats de pâtes variés et des portions généreuses, servis par un personnel attentif dans une ambiance chaleureuse et intime, complétée par une terrasse agréable près du village de Pointe-Claire. We had an amazing experience at piazza romana! We held our son's baptism lunch there & we were blown away by the great food, friendly & attentive staff, fast service & beautiful room. We can't wait to go back!
I get the impression the staff could not care less about customer satisfaction or service. Twice now they have had to apologise to me for terrible service. Stop apologizing & get your staff to do a better job.
First time eating here. It was Mother's Day at lunch time, so not very busy, but it still took a little long to get our meal. Food was delicious though. My only complaint, was that I saw their online menu that the veal I ordered was listed at $30. but in reality it had gone up to $37.00 A little expensive, so don't be surprised. They also cut down on the quantity. The arancini you get with the specials is only one now. You used to get two. Update your online menu please, so people know the true prices!
Very disappointed ..we have been going to this restaurant for 10 years for Mother's Day . When booking , no one told my husband that it was a set menu so we found out once we all sat down. The set menu was not great choices , was overpriced & food was just « ok ». We won't be going back ...

Took at least 15 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. Did not have a manager there on a Saturday night. When we were finally seated, a waiter was not assigned to us & we didn't receive any menus. It took 1 hour & 40 minutes from the time we ordered our food until we got it & 3 tables that arrived after us were served before us. The food was good but the wait time was inexcusable. Not good at all.
