DO NOT COME HERE IF U CARE ABOUT GETTING YOUR MONEY'S WORTH
What is up with Italian & Greek restaurants these days? They keep thinking they can just give us some stale bread & unflavoured tomato sauce & price it at 40$. Not taking any of this crap.
The portions are too small considering each plate is 30-50$. When I first took a bite of my linguine primavera I could imagine the cooking process behind it: boil pasta, dump a can of grocery store tomato sauce, sauté some veg & call it a day. I see it being served in a small diner or pop up at a festival, pricing for 10$…. NOT 28$ in a fancy Italian restaurant !! The lemon chicken was fine, pretty basic, accompanied by boiled (or should I say steamed?) vegetables. I took a bite from the chicken & I got Deja vu & then I remembered where I had eaten a similar dish: at my elementary school cafeteria. Not to mention there might have been a little mishap because oops- the deep fried potato was cold- not room temp, but rather FRIDGE cold (they forgot to pop it in the microwave i guess?)
If you are though forced by your own will to dine here I would suggest the shrimp risotto if you're down to pay 38$ for it.
Yeah sure it's fine if you're invited for free supper here- you won't get food poisoning. But if you have to get a dollar out your own wallet: just know you will miss that dollar where you're back home still feeling a bit hungry.
Lovely Italian restaurant with excellent service. However, I was disappointed with the minestrone soup. Instead of the traditional hearty soup containing vegetables, beans, pasta, unfortunately it was a rather bland tomato broth with some cabbage. I didn't want to complain though, because everything else was wonderful.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Piazza Romana. Just skip the soup.
Generous portions, quick service, very delicious food. We tried pastas, pizzas. Onion & minestrone soup. So good. We will come back
Every thing is good, pizza, pasta & wine were good. Just you'll be too close to your next table & you can kind of listen to their conversation.
The food was good! But our server messed up in one of the pasta sauces, he never came to see if everything was okay, disnt ask if we wanted anything else to drink. It took for ever to get the bill. I loved the food, but wouldnt recommend this place
