About

Pho Rachel centers its culinary focus on the traditional preparation of Vietnamese noodle soups characterized by aromatic broths simmered for extended durations to extract deep, savory profiles. Each bowl integrates thin slices of protein with fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and lime to balance the rich liquid foundation. Beyond soup, the menu emphasizes standard preparations of rice vermicelli bowls and spring rolls featuring crisp vegetables and savory fillings. The establishment maintains a minimalist interior design prioritizing functionality and efficient service flow. Patrons encounter a straightforward environment where the focus remains exclusively on the consistent delivery of authentic regional ingredients. This venue provides a reliable destination for those seeking a direct encounter with essential Vietnamese flavor profiles through disciplined seasoning and precise assembly techniques in every served dish.

Review Summary

Pho Rachel is widely recognized for its comforting homemade dishes, particularly its flavorful broth and high quality noodle soups. While most visitors appreciate the friendly service, the cozy atmosphere, and the fresh, authentic ingredients, opinions are occasionally mixed regarding the consistency of the meat quality in the chicken dishes. Despite these rare concerns, the restaurant is frequently praised for its affordability, tasty vegetarian options, and overall value, making it a well regarded local spot for a satisfying meal.

Lovely owners & food! I had a matcha with pearls, it was really delicious. I also had the wonton chicken pho with noodles, it was amazing. Very comforting. I will be back!

Excellent wonton soup & boiled chicken soup.

The chicken Pho was just bland boiled chicken breast & the noodles were undercooked. Great service though.

I have gotten pho soup often before & it was pretty good. But today I am not sure what happened. My chicken pho was full of weird chicken pieces, full of tendons, really chewy. It's like they scraped leg meat as opposed to the usual chicken thighs. $20 for that is really ridiculous. I won't come back.

The young man who served me & my family was very attentive. It made for an all around pleasant experience. We had imperial rolls, chicken soup & the grilled meats plate- all of the food definitely tastes like it's made with love! If you like spicy food I recommend the papaya salad it was excellent

This is my first time eating here. The grilled chicken sandwich is so delicious.

Cozy, clean, & relaxing inside with a family atmosphere. Service is always fast. Had the pho with chicken & vegetables, the broth was rich & well seasoned. Great place to come by yourself or with your family. I come & eat here once a month or so, I never leave disappointed. A few steps away from busy St.Laurent.

I dont get the high ratings. The chicken in my pho was definitely not fresh (it had the old cooked chicken taste). Clearly leftover meat. The fried banana is half a banana wrapped in a wonton wrapper...not typical & wayyyyy too expensive for what you get. I had viet fried banana before in real batter that came with ice cream for cheaper. The broth does not have much flavor except salt. The noodles are not your typical again (more spaghettini like) but I didn't dislike them. The extra little fried onions sprinkled on top of the pho were nice but this is the only positive thing about it. They also forgot to include the little bag with bean sprouts/sauces/basil in my take out...I think there's way better pho out there if you really want good pho & youre down to travel a bit further (e.g., Chinatown).
