Menu de groupe pour 70$, 4 services. Premièrement, nous étions 2 tables de 7. À chaque service, une table recevait plus d'assiette qu'une autre alors que nous étions le même nombre. Les portions elles-mêmes étaient très petite pour le prix. Le premier service: des chips avec une trempette.. pour moi, il s'agit plutôt d'un à côté que d'un service complet. Le deuxième service était bon avec les sushis, toutefois nous n'en avions que 4-5 par personnes. Le troisième service: des tranches ultra mince de boeuf accompagnées de tofu sans goût & d'épinards chauds.. La morue était bonne, mais encore une fois nous devions partager un minuscule morceau de poisson en 7. Le dessert était bon & le dj (& non la serveuse) nous a offert des shooters. La serveuse a plutôt renversé de la sauce sur la robe de notre amie. C'est la première fois à Montréal que je me sens volé, je suis déçu & ne reviendrai pas. Je vous recommande plutôt le Nikkei pour ce prix.

Okay but this spot?? So good. The menu has everything - hand rolls, maki, otsumami, taru taru, sarada, teishoku - & I tried a bit of it all (no regrets). Everything was super fresh, portions were perfect, & the service was fast + super friendly. The cocktails were not only so cute but actually amazing too 😋🍸
The whole vibe is chill & cozy - perfect for dinner with friends or a cute night out. 10/10 recommend, I'm already planning my next visit 💛
Super belle découverte au centre-ville! Le bar a une ambiance chic mais détendue, parfaite autant pour un 5 à 7 que pour finir la soirée. Les cocktails sont travaillés & originaux (vraiment bien dosés, pas trop sucrés). Le service est attentionné sans être envahissant, on sent que l'équipe connaît ses produits. La musique & l'éclairage ajoutent vraiment au vibe. Je recommande autant pour une date que pour sortir entre amis.
Honestly really pleasantly surprised how good this was! The interior design is beautiful & well thought of, especially the sound system is pretty amazing. You can hear the music but also have a conversation with your friends at the table.
The food was really good as well - special mention of the Gindara, which comes with side dishes & rice. I don't know what they do with the spinach but oh my god, I need the recipe!!
My mocktail was also delicious. All in all, definitely recommended & service was great as well.

The food, vibes, & service at Phillips Bar were amazing. We came as a group of four & had such a great time. Cocktails arrived quickly, followed by a steady flow of food. One of the highlights was the crispy chicken skin with truffle mashed potato dip-absolutely delicious. I'd recommend choosing one or two items from each section of the menu. It was so fun having the table filled with different dishes & being able to mix & match flavors. After enjoying all the small plates, it was great to finish with the Teishoku-the hot service. We were lucky enough to try the snow crab on its last day of the season, & if it ever returns to the menu, it's a must-order.
Nous nous sommes régalés & nous y retournerons. Service excellent & ambiance agréable. Makis au crabe des neiges délicieux ainsi que la salade de mangue. Fortement recommandé.
Dope new Japanese spot near Square Phillips ! Cute decor, service was exceptional from start to finish & a lot of great options on the menu. Although I love sushi, I really appreciated the variety of mains! In other words, I did not leave hungry lol. We had the following:

Beef Tartare & the Tuna Tartare! Both very good but I love how they did this beef tartare! Different than the classic way.
Spicy Tuna Maki! & I think two other hand rolls! All very fresh! Our table also had the short ribs, baby back ribs, steak & the chicken mains! But truthfully my favorite was the steak & baby back ribs! All were good but those were top tier! Like I said I didn't leave hungry & everything was delicious. Sizes are also great for the price allowing you to share with the table depending on the size of your table of course!
In addition to all that food I had the Wasabilicious & Spicy Marg. I think the Wasabi one was a bit sweet for me surprisingly, but the classic spicy marg definitely did the trick! Just overall a great first experience. Also the manager, very attentive. She made sure to thoroughly explain how service works, gave us a few great suggestions, recommended a great bottle of sake & checked in with us, every so often throughout the evening. Been a while since I wrote a review with such enthusiasm! I usually add pics to my review but was way too excited. I will definitely be back.
