Overpriced to compensate byob, we don't drink so not worth it for us, 36$ for 4 grilled shrimps... 45$ for cod with a small portion of rice, 2 potato wedges & some vegetables (for decoration mostly). Absolutely ridiculous. Service was mediocre, asked for water & my partner asked for sparking water, they only brought sparkling... eventually asked again for my water, no refill. Appetizer came really fast, but then had to wait 30 min for the cod... waiter initially suggested the most expensive appetizer. We then changed our minds since we didn't want the 38$ octopus entrée. So waiter corrected the order, only for the receipt to show the octopus entrée on the bill, when we spoke to the waiter he said he deducted it? Idk why he didn't just remove it entirely & input what we actually ordered? We had calamari entré 36$, grilled shrimp (4) entré 30$ & the cod 45$. Total of 128$... not worth it

We enjoyed a delicious meal. Quality is consistent with the Westmount location. We had the fried eggplant & Zucchini & a grilled tenter white fish which was done to perfection.

Petros in Lachine is ideally located at the junction of 600 Boul Sant Joseph 6e Avenue & Chem. du Musée.
With an inside window view of a path for Cyclists, Joggers & Pedestrians. There is outdoor seating on the Patio. They have bring your own wine & offer dietary accomodation. Our Host, Lipon was warmly welcoming. We started with an ice bucket for our wine, a bowl of warmed olives, a small bowl with olive oil & balsamic vinegar, & a basket of bread. I ordered the Pikilia for 4 that came with 4 pieces from each of the following, Goat Feta cheese, stuffed vine leaves, marinated beets, Spanikopita, some Kalamata olives, Gigantes (giant beans in Tomatoes sauce), small scoops of Tzatziki, Taramousalata, Eggplant (aka Bubuganosh), & Kopnassti that had a mild background heat. A plate of pita cut into triangles accompanied this dish. The Pakilia introduced a few savory delights to our foursome, 2 of which were not familiar with Greek cuisine & loved most everything. Each of these samples was fresh & succulent. My app was Grilled Octopus that was tender & served sliced with roasted red & yellow pepper, thinly sliced red onions, capers & drizzled with olive oil. My wife ordered the Saganaki cheese flambeed with ouzo, we prefer brandy, yet ouzo was a nice alternative. Our friends ordered the Crab Cakes (2 per order) sitting on a smear of sauce. They said it was some of the best they have enjoyed. My Wife & I ordered the daily specials of whole Sea Bass with rice (pilaf) Roasted Potatoes, Cauliflower & Broccoli. The Bass had the spine removed in the kitchen served butterflied with head & tail. Lovely presentation. It was moist & wonderfully grilled. Our guests ordered the Tomahawk Pork Chop, cooked well with a hint of white juice as it was cut into, with Rice & Potatoes. Our other guest ordered the Rib Steak, well done with the bone attached. Fortunately the Chef closed it to medium well & it was well preferred.
After our meal Lipon offered us a complimentary serving of Loukoumades, (similar in appearance to Tim Bits) drizzled in honey with a light sprinkle of cinnamon. This was a culinary experience enjoyed by all. Thank you Lipon. We will done here again when we return to Quebec.

Last night my friend & I went back to Petros Lachine for the first time in over a year. The first time we walked in with a bottle of wine, thinking it was the same as the other Petros restaurants we had been to. But it wasn't, we were told we would not be able to drink our bottle, this Petros was not BYOB. Fair enough, we ordered a bottle & paid $60 for something we could have gotten at the SAQ for $20. Last night we walked in empty handed. Our waiter, Lipon, came to serve us promptly, he was courteous, knowledgeable & helpful throughout the evening, but no wine list & only an offer of water, flat or sparkling. Turns out they have now become a BYOB! Oh well, nothing wrong with a dry night every once in a while. We did point out to Lipon though that their website still says they are licensed. The food is still excellent: we had the Petros Special (zucchini chips with tzatziki), which was very good & very filling for two old guys. For mains we each had a fresh grilled fish, sea bass for me, & porgy for my friend. Also both excellent, & decent portions. The accompanying vegetables, rice & Greek potatoes were also done very well, which is something these restaurants often fall down on. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, but it is not outrageous either! One gets pretty good value for the money. The place is looking & feeling a bit rundown though, which one doesn't really expect at this price point.

We went last night (September 21st) to Petros in Lachine. It was our first time there. We were shocked when we arrived & saw the Bring Your Own Wine sign outside the restaurant. We had no idea that this location was a Bring Your Own Wine. Upon entering the restaurant, we were told that this policy came into effect 3 weeks ago. This should have been on the website. We did not have any wine with us, obviously, & there was no store in the area where we could have gone to buy some. We purchased a bottle upon the waiter's suggestion. It was $60 for the bottle which is price gauging at its finest. Taking advantage of a customer who was unaware of a Bring Your Own Wine policy is disgusting. I priced the bottle on the SAQ website & it was $22.35. Had it not been a special occasion, we would never have bought the wine, however, it was my retirement dinner & we wanted to celebrate. We ordered grilled chicken supreme which was overcooked. My husband's plate had one potato wedge & almost no rice. My plate had two potato wedges & minimal rice. Overall, the portion was very minimal for the price. We also ordered an appetizer of tzatziki which came with pita but, again, it was a very small portion for $12. The Greek salad was good but the Psilokomeni salad was bland with hardly any dill flavor. It came with feta which was not mentioned in the menu & I do not care for feta so I had to pick it off. Needless to say, we will not be going back any time soon.

We went for my birthday & had the group menu for our party of 13. Jimmy went all the way out to serve us. Beautiful newly built well decorated setting. Mediterranean greek ambiance blue & white. The food (mixed appetizers, salad, grilled salmon, chicken breast, lamb chops) was excellent. Tasty, well cooked.

We love this restaurant. However, last night, the breaded zucchini appetizer was served warm rather than hot & crispy as it usually is. Also, the grilled octopus was seasoned differently than usual. I wonder if it was a different chef in the kitchen.

The grilled shrimp were excellent but very expensive at $12.75 per shrimp. The salmon was overcooked & dry. The filet mignon brochette was very tough. The music was too loud. We were told it wasn't a bring-your-own-wine establishment yet the table next to us was allowed to have six bottles that they brought themselves. Will not return.

Overall a good experience. Somewhat pricey considering the quantity & quality of food. The lamb chops were a bit disappointing as far as taste. The grilled octopus was delicious but not enough considering the price & same for the calamari. Would go back but not too often.

It was our first time at Petros. Our visit was to the Lachine location. It was a great location & atmosphere. The grilled octopus was good but we have had better but still pleasing. My grilled fish was excellent. It saved the day! The moussaka my son had was also outstanding. I was disappointed with the skordalia (greek potato dip). It was sticky & not enough garlic. Our server was very pleasant & attentive although she seemed rushed. One side dish was forgotten but we did not say anything. Seems to be hit & miss & very pricey for the quality. I think it could benefit from having more staff.
