Jacqueline is always ready to welcome you with her warm smile & hospitable personality, & she always remembers your favorite order. She prepares her handmade burgers with love, offering a unique flavor that sets them apart from any other burger. The fries used for the poutine are freshly made on-site, which, in my opinion, is a big plus. The setting is local, incredibly welcoming, & her young, friendly staff are both polite & kind.

Sous le néon tendre d'un soir de quartier,
Paul Patates s'allume comme un phare doré,
& l'air sent déjà la fête.
Une danse de frites croustillantes,
de burgers qui sifflent doucement sur la plaque,
de hot dogs qui rêvent en vapeur.

Les poutines, reines du comptoir,
arrivent fumantes comme des nuages chauds,
leurs fromages qui chantent sous la pluie brune du gravy,
un choeur fondant, un petit miracle quotidien.

Ici, chaque plateau devient un paysage :
montagnes de frites dorées,
rivières de sauce,
prairies de pains moelleux
où reposent des burgers dodus comme des couchers de soleil.

& dans ce royaume simple & sincère,
les familles rient, les enfants s'impatientent,
les habitués saluent leur table préférée.
Paul Patates, c'est plus qu'un resto,
c'est un souvenir qui crépite,
un poème qui se mange chaud,
un endroit où le coeur revient toujours,

This is diner food perfection! The double burger was phenomenal. The two beef patties were perfectly seared & incredibly juicy, served on a fresh, toasted bun.
Equally great were the fries-thick-cut & tasting truly homemade.
It's a classic, satisfying meal executed flawlessly.

Good quality simple "grubby" type of food. If you're in the mood for a good ol steamy, this place is great or Angus beef burgers, their famous épinette beer isn't for me personally, though the fries I ordered had no flavor to it, they didn't salt it. I don't know if that standard or they just forgot. The inside is cute, it's a time warp. You'll often see older folks in there eating by the counter, they seem to be regulars. You can't replicate that vibe. For take out, I'd suggest getting there 30 mins before closing if you want to order anything otherwise they're cleaning up & you can't order anything.

The hamburger combo + poutine & spruce beer was fantastic. The burger was simple but perfectly cooked. The cheese curds were very squeaky. I really enjoyed the spruce beer, too. Highly recommended for some really good poutine!

I love hole in wall restaurants, & this was just great. The burger & fries hit the spot. The poutine was good. I like that they had the option of mini-poutine. It was just perfect for my kids.
