I can't seem to understand the bad reviews. Service from the lady was on point. She's very sweet. As a small bakery with reduced opening hours, a non waste culture & fresh ingredients, this is amazing. Of course you need to come earlier to get the best choices.
Third time coming here, not disappointed at all. Everytime I'm trying something new it's delicious.
This time I had an amazing teriyaki burger, a perfect salmon miso onigiri & an incredible yuzu cheesecake.
Last time the sandwichs were so good. I went out of my comfort zone & tried a chestnuts matcha cake. I personally didn't like the flavor but the cake was not too sweet & well balanced.
If you're used having sweet sugary cakes, unfortunately you won't be able to appreciate the sublte flavour & balance of these cakes.

Une cuisine excellente due à une petite équipe très dévouée. Les pâtisseries sont superbes, dues à la cheffe pâtissière, & la cuisine est très bonne grâce au cuisinier très appliqué. Les deux sont très attentifs à leur clientèle.

Today I brought my daughters to your patisserie. It had been a long time since they tasted Japanese flavors, & they were truly happy. & staff kindly helped arrange a place so we could sit together & enjoy our food. We are very grateful for the kindness. Thank you very much.
Extremely disappointing & uncomfortable experience. We felt discriminated against as English speakers. After we were already seated (two people at a table for three which is not insane), we were asked to switch seats simply because new customers walked in - which didn't make sense.
The contrast in treatment was obvious: the staff member was smiling & friendly with French-speaking customers, but cold & dismissive with us. Very unprofessional.

I've visited this bakery a few times. While the cakes are decent, I find the pastry quality doesn't quite match so of the excellent Japanese-Style bakeries we have in Montreal. Unfortunately, the service consistently detracts from from the experience, as the lady & the man at the counter often seem unwelcoming & disengaged :(
Please do not reply with excuses about refusing service due to disrespect, because that did not happen here. A friend of mine was treated very poorly & denied service despite there being no issue or misconduct, only personal preference.
Customers should be treated with basic courtesy & served fairly on a first come, first serve basis, without discrimination or bias. Unfortunately, that standard was not met here.
Mostly, stop saying you treat customers with respect, there are plenty of other clients that was treated with disrespect in these reviews!
I witnessed the owner being cold & mean to the client in front of me who was of ethnic minority origin. Please be kind to EVERYONE & treat people of all colors the same.

Beware: I tried multiple times to place cake orders in advance & was repeatedly told,'we have nothing for you.' Despite following the ordering deadlines, I was blocked on Instagram & Facebook. When I arrived at the shop, I was limited to purchasing a maximum of three items per person, while other customers were not subjected to this restriction. The owner claimed items were sold out just to prevent me from buying, & treated me coldly & dismissively, while others were served with care. Friends were able to place similar orders without issue.
This felt like discrimination for no reason. Even if the pastries are good, the experience was unacceptable & not worth the treatment. I encourage anyone who has had a similar experience to post so this behavior can be addressed. A customer is a customer. No business should discriminate or treat people differently based on who they think is their'ideal customer.' Stay humble & treat everyone with respect. I will not be ordering from here again.
This place is always closed, & the very little hours they open it's always full, & if you come closer to the closing hours they sold out most of the pastries.
Les sandwiches sont excellents, les pâtisseries également, partis les meilleures de Montréal. J adorerais y trouver des pudding japonais. Les gens sont extrêmement polis & l accueil & merveilleux
It is always a joy & comfort coming here. You get greeted with excellent customer service. The snacks, meals, pastries & beverages are yummy & they are with quality. I love this place!!
