Reviews describe Pâtisserie Coucou Gâteau as a small, charming spot with stunning, intricately decorated pastries and a good selection of drinks, where the cakes are visually striking and come in a range of flavors from lemon and yuzu to passion fruit, lychee, and tiramisu, with many noting light flaky textures and fillings that are rich without being overly sweet. The quality of ingredients and careful craft are repeatedly praised, making desserts feel like souvenirs, and the service and ambience are often highlighted as excellent, though a few reviewers feel the taste can be ordinary to pastry veterans and question social media hype. Limited seating due to the compact size and go-early or takeout being common are frequent themes, with prices described as fair for the level of quality and the shop frequently recommended as a standout addition to Montréal's dessert scene.

It is a lineup of cakes that use trendy molds, are beautifully decorated & colorful, & have a variety of flavors. A female Instagrammer was raving about it, so I went to this restaurant, but the taste is normal. Rather, people who are used to eating cakes can feel the low quality of the ingredients & the reduced cost. Therefore, I am frustrated by the excessive publicity of Instagrammers & TikTokers. However, the cake decorations at this store are wonderful, so I think they are suitable as souvenirs. The taste is weak, & if the quality of the lemon flavor, butter or fresh cream, chocolate, etc. improves, I will repeat it.
A similar cake shop is'Mon SECRET GOURMAND' in Brossard, this is the taste of real pastry, but the price is very high.
The cakes look beautiful & taste great. We've tried almost all of them before-coconut, passion fruit, lychee, yuzu, & tiramisu-& they've all been delicious. Glad to see they've added some new flavors! Tried the banana one this time & really enjoyed it. Looking forward to trying the mango & raspberry next time.

Wow!
Délicieux trompe l'oeil au citron, tout avait l'air excellent, je regrette de ne pas avoir acheter une boîte !!
Très cute comme endroit, visiter !!
My favorite was the lychee yogurt (red one) because of the pudding texture & flavour combination. Boyfriend liked the passion fruit because it had more texture thanks to the little tart cake at the bottom. I will be back to try other pastries :)
I'm blown away by how amazing these pastry desserts are! Every bite was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully made. The textures were perfect-light, flaky, & buttery-while the fillings were rich without being too sweet. You can tell a lot of care & quality ingredients go into every treat.
I ordered 4 different desserts, yuzu, passion fruit, chocolate raspberry & paris brest+ pomegranate & echinacia tea. Was wonderful cozy evening after work
