Had classic poutine, beef burger with cheese & bacon (extras), & a coke. Always loved their poutine, & it's still great. Burger was great as well. Good friendly service. Quick & easy turn around from ordering to meal as well.
Due to the size of establishment & its popularity, sometimes you might have to wait to get in if that's your plan. But it's worth.
This place was recommended to me by some friends in Ottawa. My favorite dining experience in Montreal. I got poutine at the bar, but it was also really popular for takeout.
Out of all the places I ate in Montreal, this was my FAVOURITE poutine. Squeaky curds, with perfect ratios of cheese to gravy to fries. The portion was generous, you get so much for what you pay. I was more than satisfied after eating here.
Service was super friendly & nice. I love the old school interior & being able to see the food made right in front of me. This location in particular is a MUST for poutine.
Really good poutine! We got there before the lunch crowd & it got packed shortly after. Very quick & friendly service. No high chairs or boosters & the chairs are very high so not a good spot for dine-in with a toddler.
Came here twice during a 4 day trip. Came for the poutine, came back for the poutine. & burgers. & beer. Super friendly staff! Couldn't recommend more
Such flavourful, delicious & fresh food for unbeatable prices! I love how many vegetarian options they have. ive been here many times with friends & solo as a treat:)
Excellent hole in the wall eatery. Great poutine, thin crispy fries & just loaded with squeaky cheese. Pairs perfectly with the blond ale on tap. Looks like lots of local's & regulars eat here. There's 2 tables for 2 & 8 stools at the counter.
Lots of take out business & there was a line when I arrived. Service is speedy but very warm & welcoming.
Just had poutine but everything else looked & smelled amazing.
Ever have an experience where someone makes you feel awful for doing something you didn't realize was'wrong'? When it happens while eating poutine it sure feels unnecessary & appetite spoiling. It happened to me at Patati Patata tonight - I was taking a few bites out of the take out container while waiting for my friend to order - the worker sternly told me they didn't want'garbage' in the restaurant & asked if I wanted a bowl. I had no plans on leaving the take out container as'garbage' in the restaurant. The worker was too young to be so uncool & unkind. My guess is you have many more options in Montréal for poutine where they don't shame you for eating.
Hands down the best Poutine in Villeray.
Cheese 10/10
Sauce 9/10
Fries 10/10
Nice little gem. Even though its a tiny place, the food menu is big, simple & definitely worth a return. Service people are friendly, you feel free to have an open chat with their cooks & get easily involved to discuss with people sitting around you. Must try their borscht, fries & hot-dog. Nothing can beat their prices nowadays.
The best poutine in MTL! very friendly staff. Sitting space is a bit tight. But an amazing restaurant with very friendly staff!
I really can't say much about the famous Poutine, as I had the first one in my life here (it tasted pretty good!), but the burger (classic beef with bacon & cheese) was outstanding. Beers are fresh from the tab, service is really friendly, & the place surely has a vibe. It looks a bit rough at first, but catches you once you're sitting inside. Prices are more than fair - especially the burgers are perfectly reasonable. Overall a great place!
First time I ever went there, I thought the Poutine was alright (it was my first time trying poutine so I didn't know what to expect). I returned just a few days ago & honestly, if you're looking to just get some fries & a burger, for about $5 each, you can't beat it. Vibe inside is warm & cozy & the staff is super friendly 🤜🏻🤛🏼
Great location, amazing staff, really nice sourdough burger buns, best fries I've ever had. Would & will come again.
Patatine (poutine) is soooo good! It could be the best in Montreal. The raw veggie toppings make each bite of fries, gravy, & cheese taste that much better! I found myself craving for more.
My favorite spot in the city! The olive-based gravy, thin & slightly crunchy fries, & squeaky cheese curds make every bite a delight. I do wish they offered more portion sizes-sometimes I want just a bit more than the standard but not quite double! Nevertheless, the food, service, & portions live up to the hype!
Good fries. Great food for a late night of drinking. Vegan options too!
I loved both, fries & a super delicious soft burger. I can't judge the poutine as I deeply dislike gravy 😜
I first tried this place in 2002 & was really surprised it was still open last week when I returned to Montreal. The lineup was out the door for a reason. Great tasting burgers & fries, just like I remembered them. I had the Mediterranean burger & the regular one with fries. Amazing. Prices were very reasonable as well, I was thinking they would have increased more from 22 years ago but still very reasonable. Great service as well. Hope this place keeps going for another 22 years!
